@ goldorack- like the intro all sounded tight,dunno about the drop if it actually fitted to well with the drop,maybe this is something to work on,liked the rest of the tune,could do with more elements coming in to keep it varied

@ Joekool- Really like all the percussion in the track and the big 808 u got goin on,but that sample is just too much,find something a bit moodier,but yeah could be really good track.

@ Step correct- wicked track,love it,maybe toughen the snare and kick a touch,snare especially doesnt seem to come out enough imo

This an wip autonomic style tune if anyone fancies a listen, appreciate any feedback. Cheers J

@ hexa-db: nice track! i'd suggest goin easy on the bitcrushing with the mids, its a lil muddied up. besides that its good stuff! do you have any of your DnB type stuff around?

@ redjuan: good stuff right there. i'd say i'd make it even a lil bit sparser in the mix, your percs sound kinda crowded. play with the velocity of the individual hits some more and see if you can find something interesting and more airy. dig the idea a lot though! also, when you say sample, do you mean the vocal cut, or the riff i'm playing on the keys??

@ loud flavor: :halfstep rave: thats the good stuff! i would play with the mixdown more, turn a lot of things down quite a bit and let them stand for themselves, don't try to force their presence, ya know? that's my advice at least! :)

keep the criticism comin you guys, thinkin about puttin out a mixtape pretty soon here so i wanna make sure this stuff is straight, ya know?? :mrgreen:

@Loud Flavor- take a little reverb off the intro synth. its to big so when the drop hits it doesn't have as much impact.

@redjuan
lovely lovely pads and percussion, are the pads sampled or did you make them yourself?
great ambience with the fast percussion
would love a copy of that :)

@Loud Flavor
first 16 bars after drop are nice to hear, but after that it's kina of the same and is getting boring....
but that is alot with tear out tunes, because if your in a club your just going nuts on the bass/drums and not so much on the production it self(I dunno if this makes sense to you? lol)

@Hexa-dB
your production sounds good, I mean the mixdown, the wobble synth sound itself sounds nice but there is no real melody? well there is but there are to many little wobbles going on to really focuse on the track, I like the arrangement of the track though....the wobble melodie on the first 4 bars I like the most

the same is for the second drop, you know how to make your sounds but I don't like the melodies, sick sounds though...I like the crazy shit:)

@rightontime27 - like the sound and like the big reverb on the snare but the snare itself could probably be a bit fatter maybe?

@loudflavor - sounding good but i would bring down the mid/high synth filth a little seems to smother the snare and hats

@redjuan - this is really nicely done, like it alot!

this work in progress from me, trying to get the mixdown on this right...feedback apprectiated :-)

redjuan - that tune is sick man really feeling that, great drums, sounds. spot on. fucking nice one man!

dav.id - sick man im liking, get some closed hats in your hat patten and your away man, bit more flow on drums and its there imo. good work :)

Step correct - yes yes! siiicck. not my thing but thats sick man!

Golddorak - very dark tune liking it, maybe later on in the tune change the drums up abit, add some hats maybe roll them? (cheers for the feedback on my tune)

Here is an updated of what i've being working, feedback would be sick as always.

Havnt stopped by the Production forum in quite a while, but i finally upped something to my soundcloud....so!

i love makin beats, but 80% of the time i make an intro, am happy with it, like the vibe, and....never know what to do after that, it seems all im good at is making atmospheres and intros. let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions on where to go, thanks.

@ JayZest - Im liking the feel of the tune, but your mixdown definitely needs some love. turn all of the drums down (mainly the high hats), turn the bass up a bit, and turn down the spacey-piano thing in there. my opinion at least.

@jak-a-tron - solid tune so far (better than quite a bit of the agressive "unknown" artists out there), but i agree with whoever commented on it on soundcloud, you just need a couple SFX or samples to kinda break the monotony, maybe put in a little switchup on the bassline for a measure or two. mixdown sounds pretty good for that style of track.

@ the-agonist - While its not particularly my kind of track, i have to say the couple amen/jungle sounding snares here and there REALLY make it more interesting for me, maybe im just weird. cool drums coming in and out of a track/switching places with the standard drums can make a track better sometimes. dont know if that helped any, but there you go.

@da.vid - Ive already requested Bouncy Ritual...lol.

@ redjuan - I like this track a lot, i cant think of much to criticize other than the bass gets a HAIR loud in the middle, but thats not too big a deal. my only other comment is if it was my track i would change the percussion a little somewhere. to me it sounds like it something on fast-forward, which might be what youre going for, the speedy double time stuff. i would change it to "sound slower", if it were my track.

the time comes again to update the WIP!

@redjuan sounds good i wanna fall asleep to your tack :P

@Loud Flavor EQ that bitch and turn everything down a bit in your mixer(if you have one) right before the drop then sharply turn everything back up or a bit higher to get a fuller drop and don't get to repetitive

@JayZest EQ your synths and drums and like spire said that mix down really needs some love haha

and here it is the wip i think most of you guys will like reaaallly it if you like mt. edens dub (sorry if the high hats are a bit loud ill fix that)

only have time to listen to one for now but i'll post more later

@ jak- a tron. wow dude, this track is really nice, besides the fact it sounds a bit too much like metal mouth by skream. try to change up the triplet bass riff a bit and make it your own.

i took all the feedback i got from this thread and used it, so thank you endlessly!
heres a better version of cheese on toast, i have to make a few small changes and i'm going to be sending this off to master and putting it on my next ep

@ streetxlite - theres no bass in your song. unless thats the sound youre going for i would put a sine bass in there or something.

Oopps. :oops: Unfortunately the Soundcloud player doesn't work through my work connection so I'll have to try and add some feedback for people tonight. Sorry about that!
No I'm not HXDB but I've been using this name since 1998. May change it if I think of something better

krave-nice and sootheing, i like the synth with the white noise at the end. one suggestion, work on your sub bass, if that song had a mean heavy pure clean sub it would be a real nice chill track

jayzest- jay my man wheres the bass? really nice atmosphere going on though, may i ask what you're using for that?

the_agonist- nice synth, ive been wanting to make something like that lately. shit sounds mega heavy, i would reccomend duplicating the track that synth is on but change out the osc's so its just 1 since wave, i think the extra sub would help a ton, or if its already layered bring it out more. others nice track

here's my song, don't mind the name its temporary, its just something i started with tonight. haven't made dubstep in a long time, and i've been producing for a year now.

let me know what you guys think. i gotta add some more hits in there and work on the sweeps.

@viktor Holy fucking bass batman, that packs a punch. That's a mean headbanger of a tune. Needs more to it though, you've got the meat & potatoes of the mix now throw in some pink cabbage and seasoning (wut).

@streetxlite Basically the pole opposite of viktor, chilled an' mellow as fuck. Whereas viktor lacks a nice synth or two your track lacks a subbass. Really like it though, good shit.

@Krave Tad too much reverb, makes it sound a bit muddy. I definitely see the mt eden influence. Drums are tight, sounds good.

@spire You say yourself that it's more of an atmosphere/vibe and I'd agree, there aren't many elements to that track. Structure and progression is really tight, but I would drop a few sparse high-end synths or hat runs in there. I really like what you've got so far.

@JayZest Same as what everyone else said, the mixdown needs sorting.

Here's my latest, I know I need to work on the fucked-up acid bass, the reverb is all wrong and it muddies things up a bit. Working with hi-fi speakers is shit ;_;

@ Loud flavour- Thanks man glad you diggin it! Your tune i think maybe add a bit of delay to that beepy soundin synth, That growly bass kinda thing that cums in round 1.09 id take that out,kinda sounds off. This is all imo of course your track man, just try keep things varied,hope that helps.

@ Joe kool- yeah must be that riff,not feeling it bud,just took away from the tune (imo) which i really quite liked, made me a touch disappointed lol.. good work tho.

@ Dav.id- If i told you id have to kill you, (mixture of both tho bud lol). Really like your tune,really cool, dunno wat i can say about it. Maybe lengthen ur intro, tis cool tho.big up!

@ The agonist- Big tune man, ive little to criticise, enjoyed the darkness, cool, maybe a bit more sub coming thro in some parts. Good track tho! Big

@ Jak-a-tron- First of all,cheers for the feedback, secondly big up the irish massive! REPPIN!.third of all, Your track, rite, like the track,needs more sub and less wobbles man at some point, just dont rinse out the wobble (SOUNDS KINDA LIKE SKREAM-WAT DID HE SAY), good work,like the drums etc,maybe layer them a touch. Good work,look forward to hearin it finished.

@ Jayzest- Cheers bro- really glad your feeling it! :D your tune -Nice subtle intro drops nice,lovin all the elements workin, maybe filter down the sample/synth that cums in round one min, Really nice tune man, only advice i can give is maybe a touch more atmospherics, and watch them drums round the 2min mark. Nice tune! Look forward to hearing the finished version

@ Krave- thanks man, glad my tune makes you feel nice and relaxed! hehe Rite your track- Really like the piano and vibes are big, drums need work, hats add u said too need sorted,watch that snare and just work with atmospherics to add to the track imo. Look forward to hearn more of it. big up

Thanks to you all for listening and commenting, been a pleasure, anyone else wants to listen and leave feedback id me more than glad to return the favour. Big up DSF
