I thought you said everything we experience is an illusion anyway? Some sort of matrix thing.

but believing that everything is made up of one dimensional oscillating strings is a silly way to see it; we're close but our perceptions make us only able to view the tip of the proverbial iceberg atm

imho

yup

i also think that the moon is a lens and the earth is like a projection screen. it's probably the moon that's got the little formula embedded in it that makes us experience time as persistent.

it's either [ X^2 + Y^2 + Z^2 – C^2 * T^2 ] or Image

depending on how you define time

i think there's a possibility of one day manipulating time or our place in time, i just don't think it will be in a way we expect
I suppose I worded it wrong, my point being that in traveling through time, you're really going faster than light, and my point is that as far as the mechanics are involved they are the same thing

maybe time travel is real;

when I was like 5 years old, I used to take the kindergarten school bus home. At one point the bus has to drive on a very steep hill with a very shitty road.

One night I dreamed that the bus got stuck halfway the hill. The next day the bus drove the hill without any problems but a week later or something the bus actually got stuck. At that point I already forgot about my dream but when the bus suddenly stopped halfway that hill it was as if I experienced it for the second time, and then I remembered the dream.

lol that's the thing: there might be no such thing as co-incidence :p

i think every connection you make, makes actually sense and is true in some way.

so seeing something in dreams and waiting for it to happen and then realizing and then realizing that it's just coincidence might be bs.

Also: parson you said time is looser in dreams. It's probably true: how often do you dream dreams where persons or objects or situations from your past take place. And in your dream you're actually kind of re-living it. Isn't the fact that we have memory also proof? Now it's just figuring out how to actually get back there and be aware in that other parallel universe, right? Altho I don't get the point of that, yet..

oh and here's an interesting question: what would happen if we got rid of all the clocks on earth and for some reason we couldn't see the sun (in other words what if we had no method to measure time) would time still be perceived the same? what would happen?

you'll definitely disagree but i genuinely think there is a limit to human perception and potential, i dont think we, as a species the way we are now, are ready, willing or capable to progress in any meaningful way

with regards time travel again, whats being discussed here really? time travel or inter-dimensional travel? as someone said earlier time travel (relatively speaking) already exists and is theoretically possible, it seems a lot of whats being talked about is inter-dimensional travel

how is it possible for inter-dimensional travel to take place, i.e. what is it that we know about these extra dimensions that would entail there even being other worlds there?

well i was sat up in bed watching something on my laptop and then suddenly my mind start reeling back some sequences in my head, very very strong mental imagery.. the type you get on drugs. and i was watching a conversation and it seemed important, i recognised the town / cafe.

i could be chatting shit but when i snapped out of it i felt very different. afterwards i felt like i had a water infection in my bladder and had to sit on the toilet for half an hour.

very intense
