Aye I just finished a new track, very off the beaten path and happy with results, hence I wanna throw them to the critics and see what peoples think. But first...

@reignz you've got a strong drop and carry the pace once it hits, so kudos. Also really dig that one sample you drop a few times, sounds like a cross between a spin-back and a lazer gun. There it goes again lol. Final thought is you did well in making a well produced track, you didn't exactly push the boundaries of dubstep hence it may be difficult to make this track stand out from the rest BUT its a solid grade-A one for sure, good luck droppin it live. Also the Matrix samples are a bit corny IMO but sok

@Sahara ok I'll talk about magnetronica because on first glance I dug it way more than your other one. And I'm still into this song, I like those synths you have dotting the early part of the song. I like the movement of the song transitioning between the wobble and these higher synths, this part of the song has GOOD movement and I dig it. I think your drums should reflect this movement as they seem much more static than the rest of the song and they don't really change or evolve like the rest of the song does...I like your rhythm but its too samey all throughout. Also kind of ended abruptly. But I really like the motion in everything save what I said about the drums, nicely done. Maybe even adding an element or two can cover up this drum sameyness. This track was very chill to me in a good way.

lesse....screw the guy who steals bass.....

@Sub Warrior first immediate impression - whoa Explosions in the sky inspire dubstep?? hi-hat drop is good too. The drop made me laugh though, very different than the buildup...this has its pros and cons. It's good in itself but I feel like I'm listening to two separate songs. I don't think the drums are enough to tie together the two parts together, like honestly I'm very into the guitar-parts of the song but I could imagine you doing more to a) fit the two together and just b) create more cohesion between the intense dubstepesque drop parts and the explosions riffs. But the explosions riffs are sweet and the hi-hat induced rhythm makes for a good good song, I think you can just come up with a better way to build around it.

my critical two cents before my song, always love feedback and thoughts

@paravrais Really tight production. I like the bass in this a lot

@ratrace Some cool sounds in there. nice track

@reignz Like the fx and has a good feel, but the bass is centred on one note for a bit too long for my liking

here is my 2nd ever track

feedback appreciated. be critical :D

dj instigate wrote:@ jaydot nice idea reckon u could work on the drums a bit the kick seems a bit muddy maybe try layering the snare with a lower one aswell . Decent tho
@sahara sik basses rowdy as maybe sort turn down the basses tho to let the drums breath a bit . sik tho
@sub warrior liking this mix seems clear

Check this out peeps pure dark subbyness

Yeah man im really feeling this. Well made. and it sounds a bit more 'stereo' than your other tracks in your sig. Some of them dont stand out because they are lacking the stereo spread or wideness.
Definitely try this out on tracks from now on and they will be nice! Could it be down to your speakers being close together or on the floor? i think it might.

Last track that I've finished, I'm not totally satisfied with it so some changes are comming up! :)

EDIT: There stands track's not available but the link WORKS!
This is a real nice intro, but unfortunately the 8 bit lead sound is just too up front for my taste. Either try it at a lower volume, or maybe side-chain compress it with the kick and snare for an audible pumping effect? could be just the thing it needs to separate it a bit.

Anyways, Hers my new bits.

@Wabberjocky really diggin the unique sound. At first i was a little thrown off but it grew on me quickly. Everything fits together well and those horns are great :D

@RAVE good production, and the wobblin bass sounds about good. But WHERE ARE THE SUBS? Throw some sub bass in there and your track will sound a lot better. But despite that it sounds very good for your second track. Keep it up.

@Depone great track! everything sounds tight, can't wait to hear the full version.

Heres my remix of Is this love by bob marley, i know it might be a but cliche but I love the song and always wanted to remix it.

@ Saharadubstep - diggin the tune, i think the first bass line has a bit too much distortion on it. maybe tone it down a bit and see how it flows in the track. also work on the volumes of your sounds so they flow together better, especially the basslines some are louder then others.

@joma - sounds like it could go somewhere, a little more hip hop influenced in the beat but its tight. keep it up, try and eq ur bass so it doesnt overwhelm everythin else in the mix.

@depone - i agree wiff rekstep bruv, ur tracks are pretty damn clean and tight on production. you have a good ear for the levels of everythin up in dis nasty piece of biz.

@wabberjockey - i think ur tunes cool, to be honest the intro was really repetative, granted thats a great sample you got goin on there but it happens to many times imo. that vocal track sounds so familiar though.. cant get my ear on it!

heres some tunes of my own ive been finishing up within the past few weeks. id love to hear all of your criticism's on these!

respect,
pillija

@dj instigate - thou i'm not the wobble lover, but this is actualy even for me quite good, mixdown is also good
@depone - good as always crystal clean n shit :)
@sub warrior - good tune thou i didnt liked that high square'ish type of lead on the drop, but intro sounded like it will be kinda mount kimbie'sh, and i like that ;)
@joma - nice tune, i would change drum patterns thou, this could be quite good wonky/beats tune ;)
@bizzy - liked the snapped wrist tune, great drums on it
@saharadubstep - pretty decent tune, i would lower octave of the lead, bass i think also could be lower, but yeah pretty nice overall
@rekstep - liked the second part of the tune when lead kicked in
@pillija - the pilliger is nice ;) some variations on the second drop would be nice.

and here is fresh tune from me ;) kinda on mount kimbie vibe, enjoy ;)

As my friend karl would say, "That shit go hard". There's a few sounds in there I would tweak, definitely needs some mastering done, but I'd get down on it.

@Depone : dude where could I go to get Dramazon?

Digital release should be a few weeks or even a month after to give the vinyl time to sell

awesome track mate, that rhodes-ish synth sounds like sex and the vocal sample just fits perfectly, if i had to change something, maybe i'd add some more edits/variations/fx on the drums every once in a while... but yeah, still its an outstanding track as it is

@ Pillija: Digging the vocals but the synth is bit over the top imo, should put a bit more structure in the tune.

Gonna comment on other tracks in an hour or something, they don't seem to load at this moment. :/

Gonna post this in the dubs section today or in the following days, wanted to hear what you guys thought of it so I can make some final adjustments... :)

@Depone: As expected, a well produced and tidy production, really nice groove to it!

@Pillija: You got quite a lot of versatility in production which is allways good

@dfaultuzr : Nice job:) I think maybe the bass could use a little more volume or just some mix cleanse, but this could be just a matter of taste at this point lol

@impey : dude! where's my pipe... Good structure of the song, tight mix too.
P.S. Your avatar pic needs to be replaced ASAP!! thank you:P

@ Pillija : I need a finished copy of that last track now:))))
