Amen. Apart from that though, the Metro isn't a bad read for free! I like it when you get two people battling it out over the course of a week in the letters page. Passes the week nicely!!
i'll give the metro a Amen to always on the way home from work takes me exactly 25minutes to read it from baker street to canning town.
Nice!

Yeah, I was just saying that I can't think of one paper that supports Labour anymore. The media is technically the only real opposition (and even they're found wanting).
You can always depend on the Telegraph to be tory, but the Guardian and Mirror both are traditionally left wing which would indicate that the friends they tried to make in the centre-right papers hate them, and the people they were supposed to be representing dislike them too.
No wonder they're so quick with the injunctions

Hmm....

Can't believe you can compare blair to thatcher. Not saying labour have delivered on all their promises but the first years under blair were spent undoing the mistakes the tory goverment made. Thatcher years to me mean boom and bust, unemployment at record levels and general disregard for the working class and especially northern working class towns where she had little or no support. I have witnessed first hand the damage that women did to communities in yorkshire after destroying the mining industry and part of the problem in these communities today is that they are still recovering from the monumental loss of jobs in the area. Be intrested to hear what your opinions are though why you compare the two?
If you compare the sun and mirror on a day where a big story about the government has dropped it is clear to see the editorial bias for labour and tory. Sometimes quite subtle and done in a way that can be scathing but with a point to it.

Thatcher is the best thing that happened to this country.
Blair is a lying bastard - who's done absolutely fuck all. His legacy is nil.

I read The Week cos it's great and I'm lazy.. their condensed versions of the past weeks editorials and stuff are pretty excellent, and seem balanced. Good way to get a fairly broad overview quickly.
