I simply don't think it is as interesting in construction as many of the others. To me the sounds are not as good as some of the effects managed in other songs. Worst of all, it sounds like a computer game badly fucked up, it's all disjointed. Urg.
Songs 5, 6 & 13 all kill song 1 in my fine opinion.
PS, go

and listen to all the songs again... Maybe it will sort yer 'ed oot.

EDIT: Voted 'Out For A Walk' in the end so you can sleep easy XD If whoever made the last one had made it full length and spit some vocals over the top then no doubt I would have gone for that instead but it just sounded too unfinished(/was too short) for me.

So I lost my net for like 4 days, which made it impossible to get my submission in for this contest, which is a bit disappointing but not that big of a deal as I wasn't entirely happy with it anyway.
As for the tunes, I voted for Rasta in a Bottle. There were quite a few good ones in there an it was kinda close, but that one really did it for me. I like the sound, I like the style, and knowing that these were done with what was available makes it all that much better. Good stuff all of you who submitted.

Don't forget - voting ends Wednesday at midnight PST (I think that's 7:00 AM GMT on Thursday. Correct me if I'm wrong though.)
Looks like a tight race between at least 4 of these tracks!
Also: would someone like to do a mix of these songs?

This comp is SO TIGHT! Personally I had trouble choosing between all 4 of the leaders so don't mind which finally wins it, all great tunes!

Lots of good tunes here.
Nice work everybody.

Went with Elliptical Chasms, 2nd for me was Contest, but the depth, drum programming and arrangement of Elliptical Chasms made it my choice.
I am interested in doing the next one of these, but only if you guys use Mac friendly plugins.

Please see
this post and
this post (Amphibian's quote onwards) regarding Macs and VST support and how they factor into this equation, and why I am not in favor of limiting plugin choices only to the freeware options available for both major platforms.
However, alternatively I think it'd be a great idea if someone started up one of these for Mac users with AU's.

Seen.
The workaround isn't practical or easy and also isn't exactly necessary considering the wealth of free multi-platform VSTs on places like KVR.
Not being critical, simply saying the contest would be better if all platforms were supported; more entries, more competition, more fun.
