Rediscovering dubstep again

Post by lowpass » Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:53 am

Hi, when I first got into this stuff it was with tracks like dmz - haunted, loefah - system, skream - midnight request line. Tracks that were heavy but had a real darkness to them and something that sounded different.

I quickly moved onto listening to other producers that were doing the more aggressive stuff, bar9, 16bit etc and this was fun for a while, however recently I've been getting back into the sound that first got me into this music:-

Youngsta,
Kryptic minds,
Truth,
Distance,
Quest,
DJ Madd

The problem is I still don't really know that many artists with this sort of sound and was hoping someone would throw a few names out for me to check out (or a few decent releases)

Headhunter.

A lot of dubstep I can take or leave and only listen to so many times, but Headhunter's music seems to have a real longevity for me.

He's in the middle ground somewhere between the mindless noise and chin-stroking experimental stuff!

I just wish he'd release more music! In fact, does anyone know any forthcoming shizzle from him?
