haha listen to yourself!!! What hood are you from then? Didn't even know they had internet in DA HOOD!!!
Did I say MY hood? I said AN actual hood because no one would take that Israeli gangsta rap bullshit seriously...or his sound in general, I'd imagine. It's not dark, it's not urban, it's just purely obnoxious bullshit.

Furthermore, I'm from Queens, NY, enough rap has come from here for me to have some idea of what the fuck I'm talking about. Rap is our bread and butter. You're tripping if you think his rapping is good (it's not even good by like current mainstream rap standards...Gucci Mane is better) or if anyone would take his ridiculous pseudo-gangsta posturing seriously, which is all I was getting at.
Firstly, there is not a single element of "gangsta" in Borgore's lyrics. They are purely satirical sexual rhymes. If there was any gangsta element, it'd surely be about suicide bombs and mass murder, not about which prick can sell the most crack!! Coming from a background of perpetual fear of war, maybe for him these joking lyrics are a breath of fresh air?
Secondly, I never said they were good. Neither does anyone on this planet think so I would think... they are just funny. Certainly funnier than the lame Funtcase = Loefah jokes that people seem to find hilarious.
Thirdly, UK hiphop pisses all over anything from NY right now!!!! (just pulling ur leg ;) )

I am not a massive fan, but there are a handfull of his tunes that don't use the "wobble", such as the Passion Pit remix and No Love that are played even by the mighty Rinse FM DJs!

I see it as black metal, as I used to be a fan.

Burial/DMZ/Vex'd/Loefah/Silkie are the old Darkthrone, Emperor, Mayhem, Profanatica

all that rottun recordings/filthy shit is Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, etc.

lolol

yeah stop spreading your roboshit everywhere!

I have to say though, i hate the filth side of things now (except reso, he has some wicked tunes, that have a lot of effort put into them, and some really good none filthy ones). but if it wasnt for the filth of rusko and shit, even though he isnt that filthy, I wouldnt have gotten into dubstep in the first place, so i spose its good in that sense that it is attracting people to dubstep. I do however doubt that the majority of people will be like me though and progress from the wobbles.

what's this shit that deep subby dubstep is somehow better and more intelligent than some wonky stuff? It's wrong to say that your musical taste is more 'refined' if you like Mala over someone like Doctor P. I've been to a DMZ night and I've been to a circus night, and I really enjoyed both (although the soundsystem at Mass is obscene). Some of the 'filth' you guys are alluding to, on a production level, is really complex and difficult to achieve and I appreciate it for that as much as I appreciate it on any other musical level.

Dubstep Forum. Just went on there. Do these fucks not realize that they themselves are more likely to kill dubstep than any producer?

I think "dubstep" labelled as filth fits the current culture and is branded dubstep because its supposed to be new and cool. I feel sorry for all you people who have been listening to real dubstep since back in the early 2000's who have seen it completely get ripped apart by..children. But i think the filth element is better than the old stuff purely because its more exciting and fulfilling. I appreciate that early dubstep dj's may have put hours into producing intellegent songs but when it comes down to it people who have never heard of dubstep before arent going to be listening out for the quality of the production if its not catchy. Filth does this and appeals to the average joe who likes wobbles, big drops and strange samples.

Exactly what I have been trying to say for weeks!

Anyway, Plastican and N-Type are the dons.. they know how to blend the various styles perfectly!

haha, that's kind of funny in all honesty

But yeah Plastician's right. There's a difference between criticising a tune in a thread about it and going and starting a thread just to winge about something very vaguely that you don't like.

Maybe instead of generically saying you hate "filth". Which is a meaningless vast generalisation. Why don't you start a post about a track you like or some shit like that? Or about a mix, radio show, dj, club, album, label or anything that people can discuss.

I mean with a thread like this you may as well just post about how you don't like the colour yellow . it's gonna get the same "yeah I fucking hate yellow there is nothing good that is that colour I prefer a deeper blue colour it's more intelligent" or "I luv yellow it iz wel sick, haters gonna hate" response
