ipad as a midid controller

soo i followed every step in all the online videos and tutorials i can find but i cant get ableton to pick up a midi signal from my ipad :( if any one has figured it out ( or knows how to) would be awesome to know :)

yeah i downloaded touch osc and oscalator and when i run the osculator app its picking up a signal from my ipad but ableton doesn't recognize it :/

Hmmm, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't really help you out.

I use my iDevices by having TouchOSC run through PureData to turn it into MIDI data. I'm afraid I don't know how to use Osculator, nor do I know how to use Ableton.

I'd just look at this video and make sure you're doing everything similarly. Perhaps there's a small detail that you've missed.

Can't believe Griid still isn't our but that's what you want for ableton and iPad.

Not sure if you've figured it out yet, but from what I understand touch OSC sends OSC data, which Ableton doesn't understand. You'll need something that converts the OSC data into MIDI data. I remember seeing a program that does this when I was looking at controlling traktor with an iPad, but I can't remember what it's called.
