Actually this is what brought me back into vegetarian. I was in my Korean class and the korean teacher was like, we don't eat dogs, that's a STEREOTYPE....

...but we definitely eat the occassional cat.

And everyone tripped the fuck out like that was the most disgusting inhumane thing anyone could possibly do. But it's just as brutal as killing a pig or killing a cow, it's just that society accepts killing cows and pigs and doesn't accept killing and eating cats. And that got me to thinking that I wouldn't want to eat and kill a cat because it's brutal and cruel and unnecessary, so by that logic I shouldn't be desensitized by society into thinking that killing cows is ok, so I went vegetarian.

And when people talk about the food chain and how we were designed to eat animals, come on now, it's the 21st century. People with cancer are designed to die and people with bad vision are designed to have bad vision, BUT WE OVERCOME THAT SHIT NUKKA. Eating animals is no longer needed, in fact it's backwards. We use SOOOO much more food to feed and raise a cow than comes out of a cow, it's just super wasteful. PLUS driving by Cowschwitz whenever I wanna go north makes me a sad panda.

PS I always wanted a pet pig.

End Transmission.

being vegetarian and opposing the military are 2 essential things one can do to make the world better. eating meat is costly, unsustainable, harmful to the environment, etc. The military is an obvious one, and also kept for a separate debate. However, do both and you will be a better person.

OP is spot on though, fuck that i eat fish and im a vegetarian thing.

so crackf, i dont know what kind of food you have around you, but dude you might just need some vegetarian meals prepared proper for you... you already are thinking "tofu" when you are thinking vegetarian food right? There is so much vegetarian cuisine besides tofu my man, a massive population of India is vegetarian, really diverse cuisines from that region of the world for starts. But shit, I still cant make tofu the way I like it, and I try to cook as much as possible, still working on it. Only 2 places in my city I can eat tofu... and I dont care if you give me wagyu as a choice instead, I will still pick the tofu at these restaurants I go to. I even go there specifically for the tofu! Just because it they make these golden fluffy fried wedges taste like something between a crispy potato cake and french toast. :o .

I think all food is good and can be consistently good, it just needs to be prepared to the eater's wants. Im picky as hell too, you gotta put your heart and soul in it for it to satisfy.

100% this.
If you're doing it because of the animals, then stay away from all animal products. If you're doing it because you think it's healthier, it's actually not. If you're doing it because you think meat is gross for some reason, you should just man up. A vegetarian diet will give you the physique of Oli Sykes unless you pay lots of attention to your protein intake (lots of lentils, nuts, beans, tofu, cheese and eggs everyday).
