"Mr I Can"
The intro has some pretty overwhelming highs once a few instruments come in, and your snare also has a bit of that overwhelming high hiss to it, but that's really not much of a problem, check it out in a spectral analyzer and just make sure it's peaking in the right spots (depending on the snare you are going for, this could be ballparked between 180 hz-650 hz. lower is a punchier snare, higher is snappier or crisper.) for this track in particular, it sounds like it's trying to peak somewhere between 200-350 but is getting smothered a bit by highs, if it was mine, i'd just do a quick eq and make sure the 200-350 area comes through well. Snare is crucial, like a keystone of a track. The synth melodies are just about perfect, i want to hear a small amount more dynamics with the notes and rhythm, and the synth pads and leads all sound like they need a good EQ too. Totally bugs me when the biggest thing in the mix is the WHHHHISSSSHHHH. Tight work so far, just get a soundcloud, please.
Got a soundcloud:P Improved the snare. Thanks.

@ Erebus-7: The old track sounds pretty nifty. Drums are tight, loving that deep kick. Imo, the vocals
are a bit too random. The snare could use some more "clack" too, but that's maybe taste. Overall good tune.
The new idea sounds dope! Drums sound really really cool. Maybe bring in a violin? Dunno really. Great potential right there.

@ tripwire22: Absolutely loving that wippy. Very burial-esque. Great style, and close to professional mixing and levels.
Finish it!

@ ninthy4: I can't really say i like that lol, but i guess it's a good parody :p The drop is a bit too
much for me.

This is my wip, pretty different from the last version i posted. Would love some feedback. Cheers. :)

Thanks Traffikz, i'll keep working on them and yh i just threw those vocals in just to see if some sort of quote would fit.

@Traffikz - Love the sort of tribally drums and very creppy sample, works well with that nice pad in the back. levels are nice and everything, think drop needs more punch and the sort of rimshot/snare thing gets a bit repetitive, maybe shift its dynamics about or change sound slightly to keep interest, other than that man lovin the track

nibzdub - im realy feelling the glitchy sounds at the intro and the 'froggy' wobble :) , dont like the second wobble , the idea is good but it doesnt sound good to me

Erebus-7 - feeling the pad at the intro , and the atmosphere , but the track its kinda repeatable

TRaffikz - Realy loving the atmo - dark , psychotic , deep , also like the drumz and the vocal , but the wobble ... doesnt fit in there for me , maybe more slow rate of the wobble and more darker

Check my new , probably better version of my track
feed me back please , thx

Hey guys this is the first track I'm truly happy with since I started producing a couple months ago. Only have the first main theme so far but I think it sounds decent. Hit me up with some comments!

@MrKnife- Like the melody after the drop, nice chill vibe, but you need more sub-bass

@TRaffikz- Lovin the beat and the bass is nice and clean but I'm having trouble making out the vocals, could just be my setup tho, but you could try adjusting your levels to bring em out more, unless you don't want the vocals any more prominent.

@nibzdub- Melody is pretty nice, might want to put a litte more into the beat, complicate the hats etc., otherwise nice start.

@MrKnife - i'm liking your precussion and drums! and yeah i think it needs more of a warm feeling with the sub. other than that it's great. i'll start following you on sc

@ludicrousNATION - I like the second drop alot, i think your snare needs more of a snap, otherwise great work!

yeah i just threw my clip together in like a minute, so there was no real arrangement, just wanted to see if people were feeling the sounds!

Trying some shit out. Not really too fussed about the structure at this point - I'm more interested in the technical side of things with this one if anyone has feedback on that.

Here is a tune I made today. I guess its sorta Benga inspired, let me know what you think. Also, be as honest as you want, no need to tiptoe on eggshells!

Nobody really does on this forum. We are all producers here so if your shit your gonna get told exactly how and why your shit XD (disclaimer:I havn't listened to your tune I'm not saying you necessarily are) On a side note, if you want people to give feedback it's polite to leave some yourself *first*.

@BaasDnB
Fucking beautiful mate! Really like the sped up hits to the drop. When the bass pattern came in between the 'space' and the 'bass' i was thinking to myself i hope that's the main bass pattern and you did me well haha. Even though it's pretty repetitive it doesn't really get boring. Just to be sure though i'd mix up the drums a bit. Snare sounds solid with the track, maybe throw in a few incidental claps or some sort of break would fit in well at places such as 22 seconds. Maybe mess about with the kick placement too as it seems pretty rock solid throughout the track.

@NRhc
Nice work so far mate. Not too keen on the snare, and i'd turn up all the drums in general too. I'd do something to make it more clear when it drops, silence would work real well in this track. Get a delay on that organ type synth and let the delay play on its own till silence then drop it back in. Kinda like what's in my sig but i dropped it slightly too early, gonna lengthen it out so that there's more silence haha.

-

Got 2 tracks in one soundcloud here, just a quick snippet of both. Both are trying to incorporate styles of dubstep i haven't really tried before and using a new synth so it's back to the start for me ha. I'm looking more for help on the mixdown side of things, as that's generally my weakest point so no need to upload the full tracks.

Soundcloud

Whilst we're at it too, got a more chill track in my sig down there v v, any feedback would be good too.

@trip wire like this chilled vibes, your track has very good suited harmonies on it.

@ ludicrous Nation
like the wobble synth and good technic in mixdown and good production skills , i like the intro sounds!

@baasdnb like this experimenthal basssynths and this detuned synths and cliks are meeting good together! good work! maybe a midrange percusion as congas or some will fit there! but i like the hithats groove!

@ nibz dub ,
good filthy sound!

@ MARSHY
First tune on the soundcloud player is bigg!!! love this synths really love this saws , it remembers me some camo & krooked style for the melody and the sounds.

TRaffikz: The intro is a bit long but I guess it depends on how long you're planning on making it. I don't believe the sample is interesting enough to keep it that long though. With that long build-up the drop needs to stand out more, eventhough I like the drop and bass synth itself. Right now it kind of progress into the bass instead of dropping it which is cool as well but in this track I would like to see a more distinct drop. Loving the rim but I agree it tend to get a bit repetitive. Mix is good!
nibsdub: This is cool. Didn't know what to expect from that intro but I liked the wobble dropping. I don't like the second drop at all though. You should stick to the first wobble imo! It's solid. Would also like to hear a better break between the intro and the first drop and a more interesting arrangement overall.
BaasDNB: Not my usual style but I really like the sliding bass and synths. You got a very unique sound going on there. Mix is tight!
marshy: First track: Love this! Really my style and I would love to try it out. Great intro, bassline and use of the reggae stab and "Get on up" sample. I really like the portamento synth as well. Very nice. Not sure about second track but the mix sounds good! Actually repeating the first track now. I think it will be big!

@BaasDNB - Likin the track mate, bit repetative tbf but might just be me, nice feel to it and good mix, but yh snares not great but again personal taste.

@Marshy - that first part of 2 tracks is real nice, proper club feel to it, should finish it and get it out there, love to hear it in a club, the one in your sig and some wicked sounds in it, and the pads are wicked, love to hear the finished version!

Soundcloud

blasted this out a minute ago, only like 2 hours work but i have a new MPK25 so im just throwing out some ideas, like the feel of it, any feedback would be ace :)

marshy Chilled track is niiiice. Pads are nice and airy, and the drums (spesh. the break right before the second drop) compliment really well. The bass is just right, not to in your face.
If anything, I'd say a slight progression after that? maybe a key change to add a new dimension. Good clean mix.

Erebus-7 Drums are pretty sweet. I like the snare, but I'm thinking it could do with more contrast between the texture? Personally the synths sound a bit too soft to stand out. The minimal piano is a nice touch though.. Maybe bring them up in the mix a bit more as a focal point?

Bit of a pain I don't know anyone else who produces, 'cos I would ask their opinion and save the bother of asking here; The Wobble; Should I work on it and stick a sub under? Or Should I lower it by an octave (quite like what the lfo's doing, tbh)? Or should I just go for a nice, clean sub?
