what a night! :o :o :o

my personal highlights...
chef+ld, loefah+dmz, youngsta
i was really surprised by pinch+distance, very very deep set that became a bit too heavy metal for my taste towards the end though - but still a HUGH set!
the lights were very nice as well, good for mediation!! :)

what i didn't like...
the compressor erasing all highs+mids at some points
the light of the camera/team was also really annoying

but anyways, heavy party!!
respect to the dmz-crew + all djs, that was a proper job!!! :)

Oh, had a sudden memory of chatting to a big, swedish guy who I thought said his name was Elvis, then I thought it was Elwis (but now I have a horrible feeling it may have been L-Wiz). Think I even started doing an Elvis impersonation at him (oh the shame)

Very sorry about that one, it seemed funny at the time
Hmm....

Oh and chatting to Poax downstairs whilst he was rolling a spliff. He lit it and then said "anyway, got to get to work"

That we could all have jobs like that, eh :D

Just joined the forum so I could say how absolutely HEAVY that night was! Every single set. esp Distance gettin all Slayer, and Pinch for Qwaali (didn't play in at Sureskank the other week). Loefah and mala. 50, 000 watts coulda handled 50, 000 drops! Benga also.

Shame I missed Kode 9 cos my girlfriend wasn't feeling great. Half 9 - 4am was enough but could've handled more. The tunes just kept me goin. Tune after tune, all night... I could go on for ever about this night, but if you were there you all know. My 1st DMZ and not the last. YES!

(worth puking my guts all yesterday for!!)

:D
