Clothing Company - i need support

Post by younandesigns » Sun Aug 29, 2010 11:45 pm

Yo

I've wanted to do this for a while, and im finally getting round to doing it.
I've sorted some sick collaberations with some amazing illustrators, which will all be avaliable soon.
Aswell as my own work, at the moment there is only 1 tee design up, as im finalizing everything, and
getting it looking perfect for the launch which is going to be in around a week or 2 weeks time, depending
on how quickly i get up to 1000 fans, as i think thats a safe number to start selling at.

Really appreciate any support, all you have to do is get on facebook and like/join the group.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Envy-The- ... 233?ref=ts

Anyone who wants to advertise the page more, and suggest to all their friends, and i wil send
you some free goodies with your first order.

- If anyone is hosting any dub events in the midlands area, and you've got a merch stand going, i wouldnt
mind having a space to sell some goodies.

Thanks guys

nah, ignore them dude... dont fuck facebook, you need exposure anywhere you can get it, if you're going to succeed... but a standalone site is one of those things..

but i do agree with the two above me on the fact that i cant really support something i havent seen..

only see one design:

decent start... is that all? need to see more

Guys, guys!
dont worry, im designing the site and coding it as we speak haha, i've been messing about with it for a couple days.
i know facebook isnt the place to host it all.

custom css coding it all, never done it before, so just taking my time to get it looking sweeet.
if you join the facebook page, you will see an update in a few days time with the new swanky site.

And so far, thats the only tee i've leaked, one more is coming tonight.
want to space them out so i get as many followers as possible, im building up the tension if you like haha.
im hoping to release the all the tee's and start pre-sales in a weeks time.

Just taking things slow and letting the fan base build up rather than get ahead of myself, put it all on sale, and not have enough
people supporting it.

Thanks for the constructive critisism though ;)

mad props to you for taking the dive man! So far I really like that first design, looks nice and tidy, can't wait to see more. If you're selling Small sized T's i'll defo buy one :)

So are you designing them or do you have people for that? What about printing setup, are you doing it yourself at home or do you just make the designs get the T's and send them to a company and let them do it for you?

Anyways, a lot of respect to follow your dream and making it reality :)

more people like you are needed!

thanks 2manynoobs,

im designing as much as i can, but im pretty bad at illustration, but im in convosation with a couple of nuts illustrators at the moment, so should be getting
some illustrated tee's aswell as the photo tee.

for printing, i've attempted screen printing, aswell as heat transfers, but i cant perfect either of them, the heat transfers are just not good enough, and
screen printing is making more mess and costing me more than i want to spend and taking a lot of time, so im going to send the designs off to a screen printers
based in bristol, who have an amazing portfolio, so i will do the first run with them, hope they are as good as they look.

the tee's im going to be printing on to are probably going to be soft style gildan tee's, they are super soft, and quite fitted,
they come in x-small to xx-large, so will be stocking all sizes :)

Thanks for the support and comments guys, means a lot
