First time taking LSD: What did I do wrong?

There were no trippy colours, no clocks instead of faces, no "breathing walls", no synaesthesia, no ego death and no paradigm shift. Big disappointment.

Details:
- My friend acquired the tabs
- The tabs measured 6mmx6mm, were individually wrapped in tin foil and in a little ziploc bag
- Put it on my tongue, let sit for an hour and a half
- 2 hours in, started to feel a bit of blurriness in vision, similar to after 2-3 beers
- 5 hours in, felt a little hazy-headed, that's about it

I was prepared for an intense psychoactive whole-body visual and sensory experience. All I got was a slight buzz and boredom. I guess I was expecting a roller coaster ride.

P.S. Also, first time posting a thread like this. Seeing what err'one else posts in here, I'm thinking this should be alright, but let me know if it's not okay to talk about this

also, the effects your describing/ looking for, will vary depending on how many tabs you take and how strong they are and your own mind. you dont need to let it sit there on your tounge for that long after either, i usually just swallow it after 5 minutes.

when you do eventually get to trip, dont hold any of those expectations either. just wait and see what happens and enjoy.

find someone trustworthy for some more, or someone with liquid.

don't expect this from just one tab, especially if you haven't had any experience

if you want that feeling I suggest you take at least 3 or 4 tabs the next time. I've done 2 while on md and I didn't go that far. I think there are people who can go really far with just 1 or 2 tabs but its because they control their trip in a way or something..

LSD is fun, to just drift off on, like letting the drug putting you in the flow but not really doing something, not really coming to something, a change or something; But I guess you can also be a bit more active on it, like thinking about the things in your life and life itself, and if you're ready to go through the door I guess you'll notice it, like I will probably

Only thing iv'e done regarding hallucinogenics is booms and salvia, but according to what iv'e heard taking specific medications (stuff like anti psychotics) will greatly decrease your trip.

You on any medications by chance?

or it could just be the way your brain works. i've had loads of psychedelics and i've still never seen anything that's not actually been there. everything that's there is moving or just generally looks fantastic but i've never had a full blown hallucination of something that's completely imagined which is just the way my brain works i guess, or how it reacts to drugs

Like everybody else said, it was shitty acid.
However, next time you do acid, just let it take you where it wants. Don't be a fucking idiot and start rambling about cosmic beings and shit unless you're 100% sure that's what you're dealing with and not just buggin'-ass hallucinations.

The whole open eye visual aspect of hallucinogens is massively overstated by the media and non-users. You get visual distortions, but to get full blown 'true' hallucinations off acid you have to take quite a bit (probably about 400-500mics+ to start hallucinating entire beings and stuff). Trips are usually very internal, all in the mind. Your perception is altered and you'll usually have very fun closed eye visuals if you take the time to lie down, relax and close your eyes for a bit. If you're looking for open eye visuals over intense mind altering euphoria, look in to 2c-b (the most visual I've found of the 2c-x family) and 5-meo-dmt, 4-aco-dmt (and I assume most other RC tryptamines).
Still, the most intense hallucinations I've ever had still come from extreme sleep deprivation b2b speed/coke comedowns. Being awake for more than 5 days straight can be fucking terrifying.

I would say the acid was just old or weak

I wouldn't suggest upping the dose just because that batch was no good...

I have never needed more than 2 hits to get pretty majorly insane...


My hallucinations have been the classic wavey stuff...turkish carpets..seeing through walls..morphing skulls
- but more like superimpositions..

I have always been aware of reality - only this whole other thing was happening on top of it.


2CB was giving me severe Philadelphia Experiement types of issues...
I'm pretty sure my soul was evacuating to avoid the poison..
I do not recommend it.

You either a) Massively underdosed on weak/spoiled acid or b) Didn't take acid and wasted some cash/time.

Next time just wait 3 hours after taking one, if nothing happens take another. Same thing's happened to me though my mates ended up buying quite a bit more and becoming very confused

Don't expect anything. I remember taking some 2CI, and thinking "oh my god this is going to be insane" and getting nothing. Next time I took it, I was like "this is gonna be shit". I turned to my friend to tell him so, but by that point he was floating through the multicoloured ceiling as my velociraptor hands desperately clawed at the vortex surrounding me.
