@ Sirius

yea that's real nice, i wouldn't go brutal on it, keep the smoothness of it. maybe put a breakdown in somewhere, add some vocals

here's some of mine been working on

lol.. the brutal was abit of a joke.. def guna get a breakdown in ther & put the licks in my self,
in turned out quite 70's ish & all mad via midi. go fuse it get this future soul style im goin for.

that first tracks all good, although i reckon the kik would be nicer at 1/2 time, cut abit of the lows & boost some mid high in it 2 make it sound abit cleaner, its perty muddy ah. maybe check in some kind of background sound in the background... barely audible like. then ya just gota put some incidentals in thea to chop it up abit like

second one ill liked alot more. low cut the echos on tha vox to make it sweep abut would be nice. same reverb on those wubs to give that big open sound... it opens up way more space in the mix. also get abit of panning goin on... everythings sitting to centred ay. chea!

@mashmash - first tune sounding good. i would process the main bass synth more to give it more of interesting sound. ITs the focal point of the track and sounds a little bland after a bit. You could also afford to throw something in around 1:30.

2nd track is nice. Great bass and good use of sample. You should throw some stuff flying around in the back ground. That would pull everything together a little better.

@donpablo - THis is a good chilled out vibe. I really like it. The only thing id suggest messing with is maybe looking at the velocity of some of the percussion fills as they might have been too loud at certain moments.

HERe is something I just started. The little 4 bar breakdowns are still being worked on and Im not yet sure if the vocal part is right. Any suggestions would be helpful. THanks

@mashmash - I like the laid-back chill mood of them; I could listen to it for hours :D I personally like xtc-1 more.

@billy crystal meth - I dig it's ambience and all those trippy effects going on; awesome :]

@Akoma - The song is good, but I feel the mix lacks.

This is a song I started on recently; I don't have proper speakers so please let me know if there's too much or too little of something, and maybe some EQ suggestions :D
Soundcloud

And this is one I've been working on since I was 15 on and off; any ideas on where this song could go will be greatly appreciated. It's not mastered and the EQ's totally off since it was before I learned to use it, but I'll probably touch it up sometime.

ok cheers for the feedback people, i was having trouble, getting really frustrated with the bass in the first one, i wanted it to sound similar to D1 - missin

@voodeedoo yea, they're good - i recommend a deeper kick on the first one, eq it to emphasise the kick and low pass it

second one - is good, you just need to make it more interesting i think, mix it up a bit. maybe add some samples and give it a sense of progression

@ DLOGREZYRB - needs a sub, no real groove, feels kinda empty with no sub. sounds interesting though

here's another one i just upped, sort of early sound

@Astral - Dig the chopped vocal samples, they keep the listener interested.

@mashmash- XTC-1 seems like a chill track. Needs a bit more change ups and progression structure wise IMO

@Akoma- I like the main line, maybe eq it a bit more to get it to pop in the mix more. More build up before the drop maybe? (reverse crash maybe?)

Soundcloud

I feel like the sub bass needs a lot of work. Any suggestions?

@Kromakey: The intro was awesome, grooved really well and got me interested. The main wobble however felt really only the grid and quantitized. kinda killed the groove of the whole thing. the actual sound was really cool it just didn't flow at all. do more with those vocal you brought in in the beginingand as far as subbass im on headphones and i didn't really hear/feel it to much. take that with a lump of salt though.

@rightontime27: intro is awesome, especially when you pull the percussion in. dig that alot. my ears are craaaaving the bass to drop right on that bar right at 0:44. I also think :044 to 1:07 would flow alot better if you put the feel of that 0:44-0:50 part throughout it more. Try bringing the sub up more to really fill the track up. I know it's there, it just needs to be more prominent. Not sure how I feel about those stabs from 1:50 to 2:20. Maybe just a different instrument would do it good. Love everything else at that part though.

@kromakey: ILL!! nice vocal sample work and 1:09 is dope as fuck. Good job making those major chords sounds so fuckin mischievious. Shit man, I REALLY like this track. Don't really have much input to be honest. Maybe a bit more bass, but I'm starting to think it's just my headphones.

@astral: honestly i wasn't really too sure until the vocal bit came in. nice work! really dig it, super danceable. Def finish it, and take it somewhere new after this 1:40.

posted this a bit earlier. made some changes, voice your thoughts!

blazinaidan: Nice sound man, but I think you need to change snare, this snare like send, a litlle bit thin... I think its shoud be more punchy. :)

wabble: bounce - good rythm section, but I think you need to work with your wobble saw, man. It's not a ditry enougth. :)

Check my choone :)

Soundcloud

and this is one finished, a little bit experimental tech sound :)

Apatic; That first tune is big man, reminds me of the earlier dubstep i used to listen to. Nice fresh sound though man, impressive.

Kromakey; That is a quality intro. Great use of glitching. Nice work on the sub bass after the drop aswell. Add some more pads in there to give it more depth.

This is a tune i've been working on for a few days. Looking for some feedback on whats missing and what could be done to make it better.

Good mix, I liked it. Only thing I'd suggest is maybe adjusting the kick EQ just a hair, making it cut through a little better during the really bass heavy parts.

This is my first track i've posted here, so heres a little background...

21 years old from Hartford,CT,USA. Been producing with logic for about 7 months now, here's a recent one...I'm playing around with the bass as we speak.

Soundcloud

As amph said i think the intro needs a little work mayb a few extra subtle fx or something, and IMHO im not keen on the kick. personaly i think a cleaner kick would suit the track better. overall i like it, mixdown seems good even though im not experinced enough to comment on that.

The break at 2 mins in is cool and works very nice with the track, but how about adding something else when it it drops again, something new that wasent in the first drop, this should add a little extra intrest IMO.

Please offer me some feedback on the tune in my sig. anythng you would change or take away etc? having trouble making the bass sit in the track properly.

it sounds like you are modulating the sub pitch? maybe try that on the volume instead, move the pitch sound to mid range

this is just headphone opinion, it may sound big with subs
