I remember her singing this countless times..
Makes me miss her just listening to it

Listening to this just now gave me an awesome memory from the times where its hard to remember. My grandparents lived in a beautiful country house overlooking the Loch Ness. Surrounded by forests, completely removed from everything else. I can see the light from the house cast through the trees at night. Just looking outside, almost pitch black except from the weak glow of the house. Kind of scared but everything felt safe because the house was so warm. Then walking through the hills at some point during my stay. The only thing I can compare it too was Shadow of the Colossus. Not a single trace of humanity except for us. Seeing a small concrete drainage pipe sticking out of the ground. That's all I remember from it now. I completely forget about it for most of the time. But thinking about it, it would be amazing to be back there. Where the scale of everything dwarfs you, to the point of reminded you of your own insignificance. In a humbling way.

The first song I learned all the words for. I was about 4, maybe 5. I can remember
sitting in my cousin's White escort belting along to this with the sun in my face.

This song reminds me of my first girlfriend. I was about 15, and going through
the motions of a first love - We used to bunk school and ride the train to London,
then walk around Oxford street/Regents street. Holding hands and kissing were
two of my favourite things at the time. Then we'd catch the train home again and
fall asleep on the journey back.

My first time. I remember being REALLY nervous and planning ahead with a mixed CD
of slow songs and some candles and wine to "set the mood."

Sneaking into raves when I could get the chance and/or Daytimers.
I remember getting completely wankered once with my mates and not having enough
money to get home from town, so in our infinite wisdom we decided to walk home
about 7 miles. Along the way we spotted a milk float and purposefully decided to stick
behind it. As the guys were putting milk out, we were stealing it until no one could
carry any more, and then we decided to line them up one pathway so one dude got
about 30-40 bottles of milk one morning.

I dunno what station I was listening to (Smooth/Jazz/Magic maybe), but this came on
the morning after I broke up with my most recent girlfriend, and I was like - wow...
that's pretty poignant... I'm pretty convinced this was the first girl I was truly in love
with, as we were great friends more than anything else. We spent the whole night talking
and saying our goodbyes because as the time dragged on neither of us wanted to say
goodbye.

Hearing this on the radio, being about 9/10. Running around council estates and playing grand theft auto. Staying up way longer then I should, although in the winter its hard to tell when you should be asleep. Rain caught through street lights and that one lonely person walking home at whatever hour. Being in a city and feeling so isolated from most other people.
