anyone know any news on joy orb releases?

GR Etiquette very unlikely to be released due to sample clearance, but what about Tentative Bidding, Smother etc.? :i:

I could use an extended release of Missus too. But yeah, it's gotten quiet around him, Tentative Bidding is where it's at.

There's a rumour going around that GR Etiquette might be given away as freebie downloads.

basically, the label YOUNG TURKS released the XX album which was really neat, loved by loads of people, and got bummed hard by ROugh Trade and braordshet critics. deservedly. the instrumentation was well executed, nicely recorded, and it was lyrically meaningful music. (rare these days).

the next thing YOUNG TURKS released was some dogshit house track that said *ACHOO* over and over again. in any other circumstance it would;ve been just another dogshit house tune. but because it was released on YOUNG TURKS right after the XX it became a lot bigger than it should have been.

it's dull. any one with any taste can see that. the hype came indirectly of the back of XX with people going robitically ape-shit without thinking just coz of the label it was on. yup... people really are that fucking thick.

Joy Orbison's set in the Wow! tent at this year's Glastonbury was pretty immense.

I read the comments for the track which was uploaded on YouTube. a user mentioned he had a chat with Joy Orbison after playing a set and he said that Joy was planning to release this as a freebie at some point in the future. but of course, this might be false...
