Cheers too all those who gave feedback, given me some really good ideas. Regarding the drums, I never changed them because it's a VIP of a techy minimal dnb tune but I'm gonna play around with new snares and stuff now :D sweet safe guys

@streetxlite naa man,all bandpass filtered in massive :D

Olux: I like this sound man, realy good, but I'm not shure about percussion (hihats), they a little bit chaotic, imho. But, others parts of mixdown are perfect.

BaasDNB: Whery experimental :) I dont like this Bassline, it's not heavy enough, IMHO.

catflap: Tech sound. Nice, I like drums, but bassline too monotonic and premitive. And maybe put something to the background for atmosphere

Bledbox: Sorry man, I skiped your work. land-of-the-blind - I like indian samples, this choone perty good. But I think you need to change snare may be? IMHO. ice-age-vip a little bit ditry production i think, I mean this wobble, not impressive. But I like Idead and percussion.

@Apatic can't change Land of The Blind man, it comes out this month :D as for Ice Age, I am sad you don't like the bass, I was trying to make an original sounding stomper of a noise but still cheers man

your track, masssssive snare and I big rises makes a huge sound. love the bass that drops in at about 32 seconds too, big up man

@Olux: I love where you're going with this man! The bass to me is an auditory embodiment of Thin Mint cookies (crisp, mint, and just plain delicious)

@JD_LEGION: As I said on SoundCloud I love your track, it sounds chill yet heavy ;D REALLY clean, very nice work!

@Astral: I love the groove of this track, the vocal chops are fun! Really diggin all the elements you have so far, the massive synth and woo lead sound so gosh darn neat!

:e:

Here's my first tune, been workin on it for a little bit now, definitely nowhere near done but there's enough content to show a little sample. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

[quote="blazinaidan"]@tekn: big fan of those nice creepy, super-verbed chords. not such a big fan of the wobble starting at :57, but then they sound alot better around 1:25. but yea dude, those chords until :57, kill. love it. maybe just tone down the verb a tad, so as to limit the competing notes on overlaying values.

Thanks for the fb man yeah im thinkin of using a better wobble thought that one might grow on me but not the case. Chords need a fair eq as well i got some work to do :)

It's like like a hench kind of track with a silly bass kind of sound.

Good or bad? :w:

i like where its goin so far. Simple but well done, but as u said it needs more development. Its good that you still have left room in this track, thats a lot better than cluttered tracks that got nothing good going in them.
Id make the bass a little more present/not as much reverb. Drums need development too. Throw in some extra drum patterns when u change it up. Theres room to throw in some more dark ambient pads to complement the one u got in there already. Maybe some vocal snippets too?
I did some changes last night, u´re right it's a very simple song i did this in about 4 hours and there's plenty of things a could do to it, about the presence on the bass i don´t know how to do it :( turning the volume up will make it sound muddy.

Oh, i meant like make the reverb wet/dry knob needs to be turned more to the dry side, maybe eq and compress the bass too. The reverb makes it "out there" too much.

Thank you for your feedback! :D As far as the drop goes, I went with what I liked rather than the standard drops you hear in many songs, by just dropping it in where it kind of jumped out like a poltergeist  I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, but that's okay everybody has their opinions and I appreciate yours very much!

I hope you all don't mind, but I'd like to share this track here. (I've posted it in the finished section as well.) I feel like it's still a work-in-progress type of tune, so I'd like to get as much feedback as I can. I'll be very open towards criticism, thanks for listening. :)

Not my kind of thing, but I really like the arp, man. Harsh wobble, but I suppose the kids love that kinda thing these days!

Soundcloud's trashed the bass, but trying to find a nice dub-by guitar sample, or something. Needs a lot of EQ work which is mentally exausting, but here's something a little different I s'pose.

@Jem I write music for myself, not for 'kids' but thank you anyway. :)

I like the snare in this tune, it fits nicely with the beat you have going but I can imagine it to become annoying after a little while. Maybe the sub could be a little louder, unless you don't intend for it to be.

I think this track definitely has a lot of potential. I feel like the beginning should have some ambiance behind it, love the arp though! Maybe make the bassline a little different, it felt pretty repetitive, but I do adore the sound of the bass itself! Maybe add a little lead, layer the snare or fatten it up a bit through EQing, and this song will be golden. I feel like it can be a pretty good banger if you add in some more elements and maybe change up the arrangement to not be so straightforward ya know? Best of luck to ya, fantastic start! 8)

Thank you very much for the kind words! I felt that the intro was a little empty as well, but I couldn't bring myself to add anything. I don't work well with ambience or intros in general, but I knew it was definitely very bland... I will look into tutorials for help for sure. The bassline was intended to be repetitive from the start, with variations between the structure. I understand it's a bit straightforward and predictable at times, but this was just part of what I was going for, that's why I mentioned this didn't feel like a complete track to me.. More of experimentation within simple factors. The snare is layered 4 times during the 3rd drop onwards actually, but I will try new sounds to get a more noticeable one next time. :) Thanks again!

Yeah, didn't mean to sound like an arsehole with that, it's certainly not criticism.
Always get told my subs are too quiet. Need proper monitors, but cheers :)

@ Spookmusic - Cheers for the feedback dude. I really like the feel of your track. Nice and dark. I think there is a bit much reverb on the bass sound and didn't really get much outta the sub. Easy fix though. Other than that it's sounding real nice. Especially dig that creepy lead you've got.

@ Apatic - Thanks for the feedback. Thought your tune was good. Sounds like the timing at about 29 seconds and 56 seconds stumbles a bit. Other than that sounding good. Sounding big.

@ JayZest - Liked the track. I felt like the whole time i wanted whatever was happening behind the beat to lift.

@ Remokari - To be honest i really only started to dig the track at about the 3 min mark. After that it's really cool. Thought the production sounded good too. Loving the trancy lead synths. Nice one.

@ Jemgrover - Wow this track has potential man. ok. So i think definately increase the sub volume. But also maybe add a nice fuzz distorion to the bass, then squish that kick into the mix and i think you'd be onto somehting. Very cool driving beat. nice work.

@Remokari: No problemo :)

@CBK81: Heavy man, that sounds awesome!

@Olux: Thank you very much for the critique! Yeah I liked having a nice airy vibe to it, and to stick to the spooky factor, I didn't add much sub at all. With the feedback I've gotten on this forum, I might just have to change my thought process and just freaking add some nice subs haha

@Olux That's fine, this is simply bass experimentation! While you may not like one kind, someone else may. Thanks for the feedback!
