CBK81 wrote:@ amphibian - (break even)I liked the track when there was less going on, but maybe that's me. I would take the intro and so some things to it and make that the entire song. Again, just my opinion.

@ ironik - I'm not feeling the intro at all tbh, but I love the vocal before the drop. The drop is pretty good, but man the drums could use some variation. I don't care for the drum sounds themselves either tho.

The rest of you, I will leave comments on your soundcloud.

Here is a little something me and a crew I met on soundcloud are workin on. It's pretty aggressive, but that's kind of my thing... It's not really mixed at all yet, and it's not really done any further than the first drop.

your shits pretty mental bro 0.30 - 0.45 is beast, 0.31 - 0.37 is ultimate, nice percussion goin on loving the drums too decent track :P. and yeah about my track your right i did chuck this intro together along with the drums but now ill work at it ay, thanks for the feedback sounds like you know what your talking about, which is good :) big ups

@wabble

It's almost bedtime for me so I'm going to make this short, I hope I don't come off as rude just want to be productive. The lead "wobble" synth has too much reverb on it, it's sitting way to far back in the mix and needs to come up front as a lead synth should. Also, I think the whole track might have peaking levels / be over-compressed? The track seems to breathe in and out in a way that sounds like heavy limiting. My 2 cents. The drum programming sounds cool. Best of luck.

@wabble - like the idea mate but sounds abit messy atm, drums sounds muddy imo, too much high pitch ends to the hits. I like the lead synth but as someone said above, it needs bringing forward in the mix. keep working on it though as it could be good, only other thing id say it take the eq sweeps of the drum line, makes it seem abit start/stop and altough does sound cool i dont think it fits the track, but thats just my opinion :) seriously though keep working on it, love to hear it when its had more work on it.

this is my newest wip, had abit of a break from production lately due to alot of shit going down and not much time/brain power to spare but yh, lemme know what you think !

cheers guys !

Posted this tune a few pages back. Did a bit of work to it again and it's sounding much better. Feedback on this would be nice, as i hardly got any on the first post.

Erebus-7 Nice drum programming on that track, develop the bassline more, it's missing elements, would be nice to hear some gaps in the bass...

ponte_ricky I like the sound of this tune. It's very chilled...my sort of thing. Like you said about the mix though, i think you should bring some more elements out. Give some volume to the bass.

JemGrover Some tasty ideas going on there, i like the occasional delay on the snare, and your drums as a whole are sounding great. Develop it more, get some pads involved. If this song was given depth, it could be special.

kievccs I'd play this out. Decent track mate, impressive bass sound, what software are you using?

Here's my latest chilled WIP, let me know what i could do to make it the best track i've made;

@remokari. love the lead part, i think the bass parts could do with toning down a little, but i suppose thats just my personal preference. only other thing i'll say is that the intro needs a tad more feedback on the delay as it stops dead and loses the vibe a little

@jemgrover. like the sound of this, the kick sounds a little out of place at the moment, perhaps a little flat and loud too. love whats going on with the snare and its a real nice beat, would love to hear how this turns out coz its definitly my cuppa

@DLOGREZYRB. sounding cool man, the drums need a bit more power i think, but its a cool idea man like the sound of it

@cbk81. not my cuppa tea really but production sounds decent and it sounds real heavy, can see people going nuts to it

@projekt. thanks for the feedback, glad you like it, yeah the bass is a little quiet i just need to try and create a little more space in the mix i think. love how your track is sounding, real nice use of reverb and a sweet melody

the piano and pad sound like crap. just doesnt mesh whatsoever. Bassline is also way plain, no depth to it.
That being said, ur drums are alright.

Sounds quite interesting, I like it. Seems like you've worked hard on it because everything fits well. Maybe throw in a low sub and some light complementing melody?

projekt - nice one could def be in a video game :) tho some frequencies of the main melody is really ear cutting

wabble - like the bakground synth and the drum patterns as somone above me said tho they sound "muddy" needs some processing and the "wobble" is quietening everything down.. compress?
:)
heres my latest wip

^ that pretty much, I like the idea of the song, maybe just switch up your piano/pad/bass! could end up pretty sick

DLOGREZYRB: pretty sick dude I like the samples kinda like clownish haha

kievccs: I like the intro alot and the clap sounds sweet!!!!

Appreciate the feedback on on my last WIP 'Fun' guys! I kind of wish the comments were more critical of it so I would know what else to fix. Left a few of yall some comments on SC.

Hears a song idea I've been working on this past week. I'd really like to know if the high oct arp works with the rest of the track.

The snares on this are well nice! Felt the piano could've done with a little more low end of the keyboard action, other than that its good man!

I like it. Then again I'm a sucker for the melodic, deep stuff. Nothing I'd overly change to be fair other than a little high end reduction on the melody. Seems like you've got the reverb “wet” knob dialled up way too far on it too, same with the delay on the hats.
hakka wrote:Soundcloud
You've got the drums and shit nailed, but the bass seems well off and doesn't really seem to fit with the rest of it?

This is my newest one. I'd like to know what I can add and change to make the whole thing a million times better. More percs? Harmonies? More pads on the second drop?!
