Large up to Ms.Hobbs for wrapping up her show properly.
How do you feel about the mix, though?

lovely little mix but they really could've thrown us a bone in form of a new burial track. even just a snippet.

was a tad disappointed in the end.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show and MAH will be missed but i have to agree.. if i had known it was just going to be a standard mix I would have been a lot more excited for Aphex Twin. Been waiting so long for some new Burial and I thought last night would be the moment - maybe he just cant finish/make anything of the same standard as Burial/Untrue LP (esp looking at the el-b collab). After all, Untrue is a hard album to follow on from.

I'm not hating - just a once loyal fan who's given up waiting.

Can't believe people were disappointed. Genuinely thought it was incredible. 'Standard' mix

Bro thats a bit strong.

Its been 3 years. Even commercial bands and artists reguarly take 2-3 years for another album.

Burials collabs have always been average imo apart from four tet. The tunes we have heard in the last year, lambeth, the other preview and foster care are sick, so he obviously has some material up his sleeve.

But i hear u, I was very dissapointed last night even tho it was a great set and a great show, the anticipation i had was ridiculous at around midnight. To not play something new is criminal and i am equally frustrated but new material is planned for airing in novemeber which could/should mean a new album not too far after. Who knows

lol, it was a standard mix. nothing special about it whatsoever, besides the fact it was made by/selected by burial.

for an ableton/studio mix, it was actually pretty weak next to something like the prodigys dirtchamber sessions (which he originally made for the breezeblock)

i imagine she asked them to do it pretty late tho, so fair play to them for putting something together. it's just funny watching the hype train go into overdrive with "best mix of the year" and the likes, lul.

Anyone notice the signature Burial rain throughout the entire mix, and the gaps between some of songs clearly had snippets of Burial-esque sounds.

cant't believe i stayed up for it, seriously disapointing mix. Those 2 step garage tunes with the cheesy vocals were awful. Could have at least played archangel or something.

People who are complaining, i think your missing the point.

The mix was to showcase the influences of both Burial and Kode9, not too promote new material which ultimately, we still have no proof of existence for.

Just because you don't like garage doesn't mean they're awful. No taste.

i thought it was sick. funky/garage at the start was real cool. and the rain was a nice effect through most of it

got to remember it was meant to be their influences, not new material

only thing was it was very short! all of 20 mins?
