pre delay plugin?
may sound weird but does anyone know of a delay plugin that does delays/reverbs prebuffered before it's source material?
would save me some duplicate tracks and groups and make my workflow a bit easier if so

Re: pre delay plugin?
Is such a thing even possible? Doesn't the VST need to "hear" the sound before it can apply any effects? A predelay would have to apply an effect to a sound before it's played.

That's kinda how Melodyne works doesn't it? Buffers the audio into the VST and then replaces the audio output?glottis5 wrote:Is such a thing even possible? I'm almost certain there is one about, try the KVRAudio Plugin Database and search for pre-delays or something similar, I'm sure there'll be a free one floating about

Re: pre delay plugin?
Can't you just bounce the sound, reverse the sound, delay / reverb the sound, bounce it again, reverse it again?

Re: pre delay plugin?
If you are looking for a clean repeat...
Some DAWs like Cubase have a sample offset feature on the track that will allow you to shift the audio file forward in time without having to duplicate the audio to manually shift it. You will have to adjust your wet mix though to get the actual delay's repeat to be louder than the original though.

Re: pre delay plugin?
are you looking for a plugin with "look ahead" features? or actual plugin delay? (not tape delay FX)
