@Bradicle Nice snip bro like you say a lil repetitive a nasty drop would be in order and this will be Filth.
@Jak-a-Tron Very sick would love a 320 on this good production.

This is a snip to some dark dub im workin on ive only been producing for about 4 months with just reason trying to get the max potential. Feedack critique most apreciative and will return thanks

so first off I like the sound you're making. The wobble u used fills up a good amount of space. I think the drop needs more 'wobble' to it and less non wobbled synth. And I think you could possibly break up some of the drop and put little 2 beat wobbles of a different sound in there. Make it a little more rapidly changing. But you definately have a good start. Layering the sound with that higher pitched synth works wonders to make it full, keep that. : ) Big Ups

@bradicle sounds a bit monotone. Good start though. I think you may need better sounding percussion as well.
@baan sounds very good for the sound you are trying achieve :D
@psythe i love the feel of the song! i think the synths need a little more bass. In addition the drums need their own space in the mix. Very promising!

Here's my first effort.

this is my first attempt at mastering. Feel free to pick it apart :D

Blorg_ Diggin the bass sounds you have goin but when the new one comes in its way too loud its muffling everything else really bad. Sounds good tho i just wanna hear the top end....

Psythe_Kinda liking the chill spacey intro. not really diggin the drum pattern or the effects all over it. less is more with most effects. if u put it on a send and just have it hiding low in your mix so it teases your brain it often helps your track out

Im not one to critique i totally got schooled after my last post so heres how its coming along now that i brought all alot of things down. the bassline is kinda repetitave ill be shure to give it some switch ups Soundcloud

Im thinkin im still getting some mud. this may be a dumb question but should i get to work on eq ing as step one of cleaning it up? or would there be a more clever approach.. ?

@Thebender Feelin the vox sample as well as the bassline groove, however i found none of the sounds you used particularly exciting. Nothing stuck out at all. This could be a case of poor synths or poor mix, I'm not experienced enough to tell. Also the hats in the begining sound locked in grid. Detime those a little to give them some swing. I'm interested in where this goes.

Edit: Ugh sound quality coming from the sc is total shit. If you're genuinly interested ill try to send you an mp3 or wav or something.

@baaan really loving the atmosphere created in the track. not enough people make stuff like this, amazing work. cant wait to hear more.

@psythe love this track, good use of the sample. agree on too many effects going on. love the evil sound to the track.

@tripwire22 great as usual. love the percussion.

a.paul - good foundations i like the melody its nice and simple and will get in peoples heds after listening :P id experiment with some delays on the hats and just try EVERYTHING and see what you like :P

right on time 27 - i can tell you've got some heavy subs going on in this but my sub isnt nearly good enough to hear it but i am picking up some high pited noise that you could just EQ out id add another melody in aswell it doesnt seem to prgress much ut its a good start im liking the bass wubz @ 2:26 :)

the bender - i like this but i think the drums need changing up abit more, i got a bit bored of them :/ you've got some nice basses in here i like it :) the sample i think is good to but id make it the focal point of the song so bringing it in at the drop i reckon :) but hey its your song

as for me ive just messed about with massive and made this short little tune im not sure where to take it next though so any tips would be great :D

its in my sig!!!!! :t:

^ apologies for the annoying bursts of noise.. its due to using a demo version of albino. :(

a.p - definately has foundations for something good. The break down really does it for me, just the bit after needs something else i think.

neff - heavy, the synths to the wobble may need work though? im not sure

this is my first ever post :t: .. so im expecting you to be tough but would greatly appreciate any thoughts good or bad!

The first one is great, the second one sounds really jumpy volume wise, maybe that's just me though.
I think they could both do with some more weight, and maybe mixing things up/throwing samples in.

Neff - I think it sounds a little bit awkward, halfway between ambient and powerful, which doesn't sound like a bad
thing but I would try and tone it down a bit or make it have some more roar to it

A.Paul - I think it sounds great for what your trying to do, maybe just try to give it more personality?

This is my first post as well, I've barely even started to try my hand at this,
but I'm a little stuck with getting things to sound how I want, I feel a little stupid even putting this up,
but if anyone has some direction for me, it would definitely be appreciated.
Also, yeah it's just an intro, but it needs a lot of work already so why not right?

@ Naider: way to build some atmosphere. That is a nice bass, truly, if not a bit overused of a sound, but whatcha gonna do.... As to where to take the track, I think some more minimalism is in order, with a slower lower wobb for a bit, then back into the main bit. Just a thought.

@ Bradicle: Damn! This shit is filthy and loud. Noice. Like other poster's have mentioned though, it is a tad repetitive. This one is good enough not to wanna fuck it up, needs some minor adjustments to hold interest. Not the biggest fan of the drop bass. Notes hit and lack of wobb. I see where you're going with it, and having the second background bass do some wobble is a nice idea, but i think the drop bass loses out on some punch. It's all little stuff though, so keep up the good work.

@ Psythe: Liking the feel, but I think a bit of resampling/waveshaping on your bass sounds is in order. Just something with the synthesis is not doing it for me. At about 41 seconds the basses go out of phase in a way that creates dissonance that I think takes away from the track. Cuz they're out of phase in other portions, but they sound good. It's just a few seconds there that need some reworking. Good start though.

And here are mine. I'd like feedback on both, but beggars can't be choosers. I know the second bass drop in strings of st peter needs to be different than the first, but can't decide what to do with it. Any advice is appreciated.

@baaan nice sounding atmosphere and overall song. not my cup of tea but good none the less
@tripwire22 good precussion
@grimesyndicate really nice sounding so far but i feel like there should be a bit more bass wobbles although im liking the minimal feel

heres something i started on a few days ago, still alot of work to be done but any critique would be awesome.

sorry for posting twice so close to each other, but i fixed up my track a bit and deleted the other one, so here it is again up for criticism.

@the bender - really nice start to a filthy song but i felt liek the bass needed to be louder and especially on the initial drop. the synth itself is great but i felt slightly let down by the amount of power the bass had

@naider - nice start so far, a little short but im really liking the atmosphere and buildup. i think on the first drop though you should maybe make your snare have a little more oomph and get the bass to start right away instead of waiting that extra second. as for the next section of the song i think doubling up the hats to make a jumpy dnb style drumbeat for a few bars would sound cool and then bring it back
