Check out 4 Hero's "Parellel Universe" album. "Deep Deadly Subs" by Dillinja if you haven't heard it (think this one was released a few times, so if you don't have it you shouldn't have trouble finding it). Origination's "Make You Wanna Do Right", A Guy Called Gerald's "Black Secret Technology" album.

Check out some mixes from back in the day by the likes of Mickey Finn, Randall, Kenny Ken to name a few. Best way to get to the heart of the sound, compilations can be a bit lightweight.

As well as golden era jungle, you should try drum trip. The guy who runs that does some sick mixes. Specifically the Photek and Source Direct biographies.
