dubsax outlaw: not a bad track, but it sounds a little lifeless and robotic, everything is quantized - a bit much. everything is really polished also, almost to a fault. Low pass some things. not listening on my proper monitors but it sounds like the bass may be too high. cool vibe overall though

creeptown: cinimatic indeed! but from a producers standpoint it sounds a little canned to me, like you just used loops from some fx sample cd. I mean the average person never even thinks about this stuff so fuck it. wicked drop tho. i like the 808 hihats . I think the bass could use a bit of variation before the breakdown. Make it longer, nice one!

rnb: funny voice in the beginning, and nice drop. Im kinda over that "disgusting" type sound but you nailed it for sure. Nice sub bass pressure. i like the 4 x 4 kick drum when that comes in. Id put a longer reverb decay on the snare it sounds a bit cut off. nice swing on the hi hats.

Krave: lilke the intro has a nice gelled together sound. sounds very Crystal Castles. I could def imagine a chick singing over this. Banging! :r:

alexwright: nice bass tone, like the overall vibe of the song once it drops. I think the drums stick out , they sound like their 'over' the track not 'in' the track.

kaiori breath: like the intro reverse strings sample, very pretty. just by looking at the waveform id say you slammed the limiter a bit much , but thats taste really. cool vibey track. the guitar or asian stringed instrument, like at 1:58 sticks out too much to me, lowpass or delay or somthing.. really pretty good but maybe a little more variation and build could make it better.

heres an older track i finally finished: constructive criticism much welcome!

@Swansong - Wasn't really feeling this, I'm assuming this to be one of your first productions but the bass didn't really have much substance, the vocals added depth and had something going for it. High hat work would improve it and seriously working manipulating bass.

@Fakohm - The snare is silly, needs a change or a serious EQ, really liked the build up and the bass is just right. Nice and deep, but if you had the snare to be something like a wooden block that echo'd out, it would make everything more spacious. Almost like a large room effect.

@Depone - Oh my god - Insanity. Listened to it around 10 times! Madneeesss. I really enjoyed it, the under mi sensi thing has been done a million times, but still, rated!

@Kaiori Breathe - Obviously big smooth roller, needs a massive overall EQ increase, everything is bareeee quiet! But that's about it. Use a limiter perhaps to automate the eq increase perhaps?

My finished work - it's old, but I have just started to use the production section a little more as there is more constructive insight.

Nothing was taken from any loops we made every part from the choir to the toms and snares :u:

I made this song and account as a joke to see if the worst song I could possibly make could get some exposure.

It's bad. Ripped youtube sample, massive preset synth, kick snare, and random notes with the most basic massive patch I could make. :D

@ CBK - LOL, that isnt actually that bad! The bass could do with changing and a bit more delayd perc would do it a treat. Great work all round anyway for a fuck about! :D

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback on my last tune, as promised, here's crit for the entire of page 16:

@dubsax outlaw love the sample use and all the cymbal work, very slick tune, has a great sheen of professional production value to it, and it's very well written and arranged too. Some strange sounds too, in a good way, that I would never have been able to make work together but you've made them gel very well. Lots of nice variation and ideas to keep it all fresh too. Well done, this is a very good track.

@BadBoyBastian3B
it's not really my style but it's well produced, sounds good man :)

@creeptown

Love it, and I love that you did something you felt was a bit different, it's all about experimentation, the build up is very well done, and the drop is great too, very well put together man, it's a really big tune.

@ vdbproductions I usually don't give crit on tunes I'm not keen on but I did say I'd do all of page 16 so, I mean, it's a good tune, it's well produced, but I've kinda heard it before, although that isn't a fair criticism in my books - if you're making music you like you shouldn't give a flying fuck whether people think it's been done before. Hell most of what I've done has been done a million times before. So yea, it's a good tune, just to me personally I don't think it stands out from a lot of dubstep I hear each day :/ - really sorry to say that, hope you're not offended or anything. It's just maybe personal taste I guess.

@projekt At first I thought it was good, then I thought it was great. Love those big deep hits. Well done man :)

@ jimlincoln solid tune man, feels a little repetitive to me, mostly due to the sections feeling a little ill defined, it feels like one long section, I don't know if that was intended or a stylistic thing and if it was i apologies for my ignorance. If you're using vocals in a track there's nothing wrong with a bit of silence here and there to help define the structure a little better. It's well produced though and there are some nice drum patterns going on.

@secretpandasociety Its alright. Not really my thing. Kinda sounds like a chaotic palet filled to the brim with as many noises as you could fit in :/

@krave solid work man, enjoyable tune, big.

@ wobbafet, solid work on this one man, it feels a little repetitive to be honest, but I think you just about get away with it, there's some good rhythms the only thing I'd really complain about is that you've used one chord the whole way through :S maybe spice it up a bit next tune?

@indodubstep, cool tune, reminds me of the synth used in bodyrox or bodyrocks whatever it was by the yeah yeah yeahs or whoever they were lol. Jesus that's so vague :P anyway, cool sounds.

@ citcuitdnb tune sounds good for a first stab at dubstep, i think you have all the ideas down, sounds are good, production value is pretty strong too. Maybe a little more variation in the hi-hats would be nice next time :/

@dj2slo this is weird as fuck but strangely I like it.

@ alexwright some great sounds in this one man, seriously good tune, very inventive, well to my ears anyway, love the broken feel in the rhythm - great grooves and synths and there's lots of variation too which is good you got that balance between variation and structure just right, not so much going on that I get lost and can't figure out where I am nor so little that it gets boring and predictable. Well done.

... fuck this is tiring lol, who'd have thought there were so many tunes on a page of this thing...

@ spectrum1 badass not my style but still pretty awesome

@ Depone so, just how much crack did you take before making that tune? :P pretty sick, again not my style, it's very strange, maybe it's just me who thinks that, but it's pretty cool all the same, propz

@_FaKoHm_ well produced, good sounds, nice ideas, all round good tune.

@swansong :S i don't know what I just listened to but it was pretty cool

@dj seizure pretty sick tune, very nice work all round, nice to see some asian influence especcially on a tune as nice as this, should stick it on vinyl :P

@Njamimars is that a fucking cat? dear lord, how odd. Sounds pretty ...something... lol. I don't really know what I'm listening to. Why is dubstep going bat shit insane lately lol. It's cool all the same man.

@helium101 not bad at all for somebody your age, keep it up man, some cool sounds going on and it's not an amusical wank fest which is always nice to see, love the videogame sounds.

@ bradicle - good sounds all round, good themes too, I think maybe a little more variation would be good. Feels a tad repetitive, to be honest I had a little difficulty sitting through this one, not because it's bad, but just because it gets a little stale :/ Don't get me wrong though, it's a good tune and the production is ace, just needs a little more variety imo.

@ ogunslinger cool ch000000n, nice sounds and solid production broseph. well done. Again only crit would be maybe a little more variation? love the ending mind you.

@ CBK i lawl'd the white noise on that snare makes me fucking cringe lol, epic.

@ nonXero an all round great tune man, nothing bad to say at all :)

Soundcloud My latest tune, made it in like 4 hours lol. But I think it's pretty awesome hopefully you guys will like it.

Thanks very much to you and the other guys that gave feedback on my track. I thought people were shrugging it off and it wasn't very good until I heard your comment, it's great to find that you've noticed what sound I was aiming for when I was making the track and in my opinion I'm pretty happy with the result. I know maybe some of the drums sound a bit too out there, but if I make them quieter it doesn't sound right to me :S Does anybody have any idea what labels it would be suited to if I was going to give it a go at getting it out there?

If anybody could give a suggestion then it would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks []^_^[]

@ creeptown: thanks for the feedback! i thought your epic movie intro deal was really cool, and it set the rest of the song up well. personally, i might change the chord progression a little so that it's got a major tonality (i think that's the term?), but if that's not what you're aiming for then it's great as is. also, maybe some different rhythms in the drop? i like it, but i feel like something very similar has been done, so a small change could really make it stand out imo. but other than that, i really like it!
Why is everyone dropping fish?

<<<<<<< there's mine....

@Depone: You don't need telling that's a big tune.

@Fakohm. I dunno I was expecting something more chilled, the drums are are abit much for the intro, but still nice bass and a wicked track altogether
