Very true for overseas heads...whenever I can stream it's adverts and funky house.

For people outside the UK this forum and Barefiles is dubstep.

but blaitantly i'll still listen to rinse whenever i can...

i'll still reach fwd whenever i can...

and i'll still buy tempa records whenever i can...

simple because, like it's been said before, i don't think the artists should suffer because of the business/politics side of things...all the artists that associate themselves with ammunition still get my full support regardless of this whole fiasco. and i think when guys like skream turn up to support new events like the platform 1 thing thursday just gone...they deserve every last bit of our support n'all.

like ben said, it's matter of expressing your distaste on a subject you feel pretty strongly about in the hope that those that actually made the decision take note and acknowledge your disapproval. no hate or band wagon jumping from me...

in fact, i'm off to buy some records right now...might even pick up some new tempa plates

it's the internet ... they will not be able to stop the sharing of sets ... the only thing that's gonna happen is that 1 other sets then rinse sets gets more attention on barefiles 2 rinse will have less listeners in the end ...

such decisions are made by PUSSYHOLES that have another motive than just pushing good music ...

last I wanted to state that skream, ntype, benga and everyone else on the tempa catalogue /rinse schedule don't need AMMO but the other way around ...

there would be no rinse without the deejays ... no releases on tempa without the producers ... so to the argument heny brings up i can only say

YOU ARE IN CONTROL ... you CAN voice you're direct thoughts towards the AMMO management ... it is your choice to roll with this or not

the more places a deejay/producer has to display his tunes music the better me thinks ... that's why i started reload ... just another point of promotion for good music ... fuck competition fuck monopoly !

I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a bit.

If you're still listening to Rinse despite the fact that they're trying to fuck Deapoh over, what kind of message does that send out? "Yeah you guys are cynical and ruthless businessmen, but since you have so many good DJs on rotation, we're just gonna have to swallow our pride." This basically means that since Rinse has such a stranglehold on dubstep radio in general, they can do as they wish, as the people are willing to compromise on principles in order to get to hear their favourite DJs. That's not the right signal to send out if you ask me..

How long before tempa copyright the term 'dubstep' which of course they created with *that* mix.....

I hear Henry G....however surely by stopping the barefiles sets the rinse DJs will be heard less internationally...maybe it would be better for them to jump ship to another station rather than this ammunition led one. Shows what the money from midnight request line can do....remember only about 18 months ago tempas release schedule was non-existant and dubplate was offline.

It is all business but seeing as on the whole the ammo crew are only repping a small percentage of the scene (from tempa releases to fwd djs to the tunes played by the rinse djs - which maybe sarah and gee are now cashing in on as they feel the publicity has peaked with broadsheet and music press coverage!) surely barefiles will now be helping to umbrella the scene, taking the impetus off the big names and onto the more 'underground' elements of the scene....i swear if you listen to dice or metalbox (to name just 2 'alternative' djs) you will hear a much broader selection in both style and artists.

No disrespect to the rinse djs who have obviously been there longer and have their clique of producers within the scene and have already defined 'their' sound but these days the scene is bigger than Croydon, FWD and NME articles. It has gone international and this will flourish when Barefiles reopens and supports ALL aspects of this burgeoning scene!

I cant NOT listen to Skream, Chef, Darkside & AntiSocial.

Deaps know's where most of our loyalties lie.. but cutting ourselves off from the shows we know and love just aint right. I'm sure he wouldnt want us to either.

I'd be happy to listen to recordings of the shows, if it was done hastily E.G BAREFILES !! (i dont like waiting days for a set)

Everyone has brought decent points to the table. I was one of the 1st to say fuck rinse blah blah.. thinkin about it better, i dont know what i would do without these powerplay shows.

Yeah i agree with this, Alot of these DJ's have got some, amazing abilities & have a real ear for unique music, I love locking into their shows.. hopefully this is the future for the scene.

so what, is rinse going to host their own archive? their website is a JOKE-constantly "under construction", i can't see them getting it together to justify a barefiles ban. short-sighted is an understatement. and to backstab someone promoting your shit internationally for free?!?!??? big disappointment.

big up deaps for helping cats who don't live in the UK keep up to date with the scene!

back wey ya backsliders!

who feels it knows it.

it's a shame that this is happening, most of the dubstep i listen to is from barefiles. :(

Spot on... I'm seriously shocked to be reading this and massive respect for standing your ground deaps..

Total respect for the hard graft that the Ammunition crew do but init best to work together? Especially when all the ground work has been done..

I ain't read all the pages but does this mean they will start charging for the downloads? If so surely people will just start recording the streams themselves......

rokotiili wrote: but here we go into the positive side: look at it this way fellas, this action is also taking dubstep back underground. theres bare amazing dj's/producers NOT LOCATED only in the UK (and also UK heads who dont get their names out like the ones on rinse/whos tunes rinse dj's play)... this can also be a positive thing and take things back to the way it was... if people realise this...
well said man... we dont have to depend on rinse for mixes! though they are sick mixes from big big djs... you are so right its gonna take it more underground again and thats what i think it needs!!
