OK that's very stupid!

I don't think Grime will save us from Brostep because look how commercial "grime" is becoming (I use the quote marks because it's became almost unrecognisable from what grime was). Dubstep has gone same way and it's not either genre's fault it's just how the industry works and blah blah.
Can say that certain producers; i.e. Terror, SRC (basically Butterz gang and some of what Avalanche music is putting out but that's mainly old stuff) can be related to dubstep and have a positive influence but that's always been the case since the beginning.

Innit I think Skepta's 'Rolex Sweep' in particular kind of burst a balloon for me, still some people making good stuff though. Parallels to american hip-hip, you get some sending a real message about society and some just shouting about how much cash they got (or just acting like silly twats)!

Grime is not hard or glitchy enough for people who are into what people on this forum like to call brostep.

It's softer than a lot of the "hard" dubstep tunes out there
Plastician can now be heard LIVE on Rinse FM every Sunday 9pm til 11pm

i totally agree. even so, i still think that grime, when it wants to, has managed a darker sound than "filth" ever could

I wish I could get my hands on more grime acapellas. I want to do a mix of them over early 90s brutal distorted 140bpm Cologne acid trax.
