Hey I tried this in the dubstep forum and got some great responses, but I should have put this here in the first place.
No need for a new topic I think but I'm looking for more stuf like Julio Bashmore.
In particular, the following tracks/style/vibe really speak to me.

dammit i knew i recognised the jazzanova sample - i have the same one sat in my samples folder
best delete it, cos i'm not going to make a better tune than this with it now am i
