typing as i listen

rainbo - sweet ass intro which needs something more.. not very keen on those samples... super dope track but you need to get the sound levels straigthened out . also i think your track would benefit huge from some pauses in it you know really short breaks from the lead synths, still dope tho!!

broxamason - feelin the dub vibes here. but i feel no grove, wheres the kick? the snare is also very low.. some parts feels abit overdone also.. need to get them drums hearable!

steeple - drums are sounding tight. really nice with the bongos/tablas :) dont be afraid to go crazy with other percussions .. track overall needs more variation and length
good start!

shaneynclan - o
at first when i hear a tune that starts with these kinds of drums i usually turn it off.. this was interesting tho and the piano dosent sound all that bad
0.53-0.56 the kicks sounds abit offbeat here
curious to hear the finishd version

psythe - ouf.. ear rape

wip of mine,the shakers are bit too loud yea and dont be intimidated by the wobbles in the intro, this not a wobbler :)

@Rainbo I agree with everyone else about that sample, but the drop is sick dude. I really like how busy it is.

@broxamson The track sounds nice, but there is a definite lack of sub (to my ears anyway) and that heavily panned snare could maybe do with a little bit of unpanning. But otherwise a really interesting track

@Shaneynclan I like the track, it sounds a little like that Giant tune. Not a massive fan of the kick build so maybe change that up a little.

Anyway here's my bit

@LTUK

I like your track.
But I've noticed some cracking noise in the beginning.
Really enjoyed the bassline and the small synth notes though.

@LTUK
nice sounds, great track. i think you should work on the build up to the second drop a bit more, it's very quiet. but i really like it

@bRRRz not bad if it's your first tune. i can't really hear a sub, you should work on that. the drop suddenly comes in but doesn't make much of an impact. if you're going for a drop, try to make it stand out more and add other elements to it, or it will get boring

@Nacklewicket i really like those tribal drums in the intro, if i were you i'd keep them all the way through lol. sounds good

Thx for the feedback mashmash.
I just played around a bit and added a sample at the drop + made the subbass a bit louder.
I like the new version better, what about you?

Broxamson :Great vibe man , i like the samples , very dubby , also the percusion is nice , pure reggae , i miss a harder drums in some place , but is all good man , nice song.

Steeple:LIKING THAT man but maybe you need more variation , nice conga percusion loop ,only thing i don't like is the "whohoho" vocal sample , is good but too repetitive.but good work anyway.

Grime Sindicate:Really Dark tune¡ , maybe you need turn up a little bit your main synth line , is too quit for me .

rainbo:i like the intro , the production is very good , but i really don't feel your arpegiated synth line , is too "new age" for me.

Shaneynclan:Good sound man , i really like your tune , that's all ,well done.

Psythe :i like your drums , and the atmosphere , is very dark , good tune man.

Naclewicket: Your Intro sounds different to me , and that's definitely good , also like the brass stuff you put there , nice vibes , i would change the chords in the background they are a little sad to my taste , i hope you undestand what i try to say :D

LTUK:the intro is good man but when the drums come in your track feels empty , try put some pad or something at low volume to fill the gaps ,i like the synth riff at 3:00 is very nice .

LTUK- I like the track, it has a very individual kind of feel but at the same time I feel like I've heard it before, a little bit more distinction
couldn't hurt as far as I'm concerned. Other than that I would say some of the central sounds could be more intense/louder, so they stand out a bit.

mashmash- Pretty much the same difference, it seems like everything is... well its good, but a little bit more life in some things would be a good direction if you ask me. Good tracks, especially the second one.

bRRRz- I think the goat sample should be longer/have more echo, it sounds a little bit awkward to me as is. Being new, this is a bitch one people always tell me, but some more distinctive, "wow, I've never heard anything quite like that" noises would push the track a lot further I think.

This is only my second track, and the intro/outro are nonexistant as of now. I meant to make it dark because that's generally where I get the best results, thanks in advance.

My feedback skills aren't the best but...

@Zebrakid, everything sounds top notch, especially the ambient samples, keep it up. the only thing I would say is the lead is a bit off maybe cut the frequencies so it doesn't distort as much or work with something new.
@bRRz, Dig that man, it's down there. Like the frequency change on the drums, maybe keep away from that wobble and use a deep sounding bassline, like mala etc to keep to song dooowwnnn there
@mashmash, Listened to the first song, really like it man!! maybe tweak that lead a little bit interchange it from distorted to clean?, the bassline and sample is awesome
@shaneynclan Probably my fav that I listened to it, everything is sounding top notch, keep feeling it

I've been throwing some sounds together, going for a uptempo ambient track. Got my vocals, and want to change the drum samples. But a bit lost at this stage on where to go.

@bRRRz Kinda nice mix but not my usual listening, although i liked the intro. :D
@zebrakid its definately nice and dark. Just beef up the drums perhaps and you might be onto something :)
@mindcontrol I like this alot and could listen to a whole song of it with more variation and perhaps introduce some more elements. Well done :e:

Heres my latest, lacking a proper mixdown and what have you...

@mindcontrol, try just changing some drum patterns here and there and adding some breakdowns.
@claridge nice ambient phases throughout. seems like the~2:15-50 is a long time to wait for snares to come back, maybe make this more of a breakdown in terms of other phrasing so the ear isn't just straining to hear the next snare (like 3:45+)

@Claridge
Really like the intro,and the various synths throughout the track they make variety and all fit well,but as some other guy said the part without the snares is a bit long..great work good potential!
@zebrakid
I think you should turn up the drums to make them stand out,you can barely hear the snares..other than that,maybe add a little bit more punch to the lead and it could sound really good! good job for a second track

Here's a little song I started doing last night almost finished writing it,but still have mixing and maybe change the drum samples..it's deep/ambient dubstep! hope you'll like it

@kikaruu Not extremely into the housey drums But cool track Non the Least maybee a touch repetative
@NRHc pretty mellow Track . Its really soundscapin... I would consider chaning the drums like you said.maybe just cut those congs in the beginnin
@REIGNZ Definately break some neck to thissss SOn!!!!

I posted this in dubs already. But its still in progress . I dont know what I was thinking posting it there. cuz I want some feedback :)

This is my first 'proper' track, still trying to get the hang of dubstep. I'd have some constructive criticism, but I'm such a noob at this stuff I probably make myself look like a douche...
Soundcloud
I hate the kicks and snares and pretty much anything percussion related in this... any tips for this in Logic? I'm lacking a few samples as well.
Cheers
