i can't get the other thread to open so i'm starting it again

I would like to name the underlying psychological “dynamic” that is one of the main foundations and causes of the malevolence that is playing out in our world “Aparticipatory Delusional Syndrome,” or ADS for short. ADS is based on the deluded assumption that we are separate from and not participating in helping to create the very situation we find ourselves in. Existing deep within the collective unconscious of humanity, ADS is a timeless, archetypal process that has continually re-iterated itself in and over time through countless manifestations in our world. ADS is at the heart of creating the illusion that we are separate from the very universe in which we live.

*cool article, is it saying "if everyone thought about it we could just cultivate a more caring compassionate, less greedy society", or "we can do some mad scifi shit if we all understand reality and concentrate on it enough etc etc"?

Not too keen on the term ADS

When we have ADS, we don’t realize that we ourselves are “doing” something which is helping to generate the very thing which we are reacting against.

Go tell them then!

There is a difference between realizing and accepting

Anyway
I don't think there is right or wrong when it comes to our outlook to the universe.
The universe doesn't give a shit
Either way the process will be the same

I'm not too keen on the term ADS either... giving it a name as if it's a syndrome gives people an excuse to not do something about it.
"Everyone has it so what help would I do if I changed MY mindset?" sort of mentality.

It's more a social dynamic rather than a psychological one I would say... An avoidance of truth in the attempt to fit in with social/societal norms. It can't really be psychological as most people would agree with the idea we should fit in with the world around us/help the environment etc on an academic level and understand the importance of it, however they don't out of a fear of going against the norm and lowering their social standing in the eyes of other people (i.e. fear and selfishness really... no syndrome).

Not entirely, The universe will respond to whatever we put out
To the universe, its irrelevant whether these things are considered good or bad
