The Dimension Expander is a tricky one, since it spreads the signal in the stereo field - and conventional wisdom says to keep the bass in the center as much as possible. That said, anything that 'smears' the stereo field a little (maybe the SHEPPI vst?) plus early-reflected 'verb and some very light chorusing... there you go.

i could t ozon isotopes and stick it over a synth and just check all the diffrent presets maybe?

Oh, okay. They're a bit more than just EQ (at least, Rescue and TesslaSE are, which are the ones I've used) - more like gentle distortion that gives stuff a bit of subtle presence and crunch. But I don't know Dimension Expander, and if you're after something a bit less subtle then I can't help much...

Izotope Ozone = The shit.

I can't recommend it enough.
You can apply your changes to specific bands only or all of them if thats your wish.
it has many diverse functions and while it can dramatically change your sound it can also be very subtle.

Do yourself and your listeners a favor and get Ozone and figure out how to use it. You wont be disappointed.

Sounds like stereo sample delay too.

Btw, doing this on your master will seriously harm the integrity of the audio. It will sound mushy and shit on a club system.

If done right, it is not so.

Seeing that most club systems are run in summed mono, I cant see how this is going to sound great. Terrible phase issues. Things will drop out the mix etc...

im just arguing if your mix/master is good it should still translate good to mono. if done right. easy.

Thats not always true, a good stereo mix wont translate well in mono a good 30-50% of the time, in my honest experience. You need to meet in the middle as such.
I do use stereo widening, but thats mostly on my bass, and sometimes some widening on my master. I would never mess with phase responses or extreme chorus effects on my master. thats just asking for trouble!

. easy.

so youre saying that all those good mixed and mastered stereovinyl masters "wont translate well in mono a good 30-50% of the time"?

dont think so.

Thats not what we were discussing. The original poster wants to add the said effects above to his master. Im not stupid :?

I'm still retarded in this area, so I can't personally help you much.
But I can send you a link that looks to be helpful, and I'd like to personally use here soon.
