Albino 3

Post by lewisr » Sat Dec 27, 2008 10:10 am

Hi,

I brought albino 3 a few weeks ago, I think its great but all i can do is use and edit presets. Is there a way that it can be initialised, so you start with a blank synth. No lfo'sno effects, no oscillators etc..

cheers.

Lewis

Youd have thought that Rob papen would have put a big initialise patch button somewhere. cos like, the presets are great on it, but sometimes you gotta make the sound thats in your head and turning each papameter to "0".. gets a bit tedious :P

Silly boys. If you'd tried googling 'initialising albino 3', the first search result would have given you the goods.

---> Under the "Diverse Sounds" soundbank, there is a preset called "zz_init" which is a blank patch!

Haha should have googled it..

As far is diversity id say its pretty good, you can get a demo from the rob papen website..

http://www.robpapen.com/albino3-demo.html

The demo is fully functional, with some white noise every minute,

I don't think I have ever heard any one say Albino was good for Sub!?

Most people use it for pads and atmospheres because it lacks bass power.

i use it for all my basses. it's good for everything, in my opinion.

I got to agree with mojomusic. Albino is a huge synth and good for bass and pads, I use it for alot of high pitched stuff too, white noise sweeps and such. Like any synth it just takes some practice to learn how to get the different sounds out of it. It's my main synth and one thing I always use on is is the no.3 saturation, Oh and the filter in the effects section is good too..!

This is a work in progress but apart from the drums and vocal sample, everything was made with Albino
