@pete mines: Production is sounding tight and tune is sounding phat, nuff sed. I was a big fan of your old tunes city view and i cant remember the name of the other one, but absolutely rinsed them. Prefered that style, but your production is always phat. Everything just works together brilliantly. Another piece of me is simple yet brilliant. Absolutely love the vocal, is that an original? And the tylaz fast or slow is pretty sick, Some of the noises are wicked, however the mix is sounding a bit muddy at times.

@ Whyrez - as everyon ehas agreed this is a wicked track. Loving the all the sounds. At 1.30 i feel the bass could have a bit more punch to it, and the vocal could blend a little better, but its a minor problem. Overall proper sick.

@ Superginger : Piano edits are cool. I think maybe you should have just timestretched teh samples before you started to make it 140 coz it feels like it drags a little. Love the bass when its in the background, bit harsh and detuned for me wen it jumps out in the midrange. Nice remix though overall.

@Johnny-zee: Like this, proper dubby feel. THe wobble could be variated in sound tone a bit more to make it more interesting. Drums sounding nice, everything sitting in a good place.

@Sun -ce: Memories - the intro is nice. When the wobble kicks in it lacks any punch though, needs something to give it a bit more impact. Could just be to do witth the drop though, as that needs some work to build up tension. Or it might just be that the track seems to lack dynamcis in general, perhaps overcompressed but im no expert.

@non-Xero: its a good tune, lioke the drum work although, it sounds like you timestretched the whole break to 140 befoer cutting it up and im not a big fan of the timestretch feel of the individual hits the whole way through, would eb good as an element to introduce every now and again. Pad sounds are beautiful. Bass is nice.

@tn-man: Love the ideas and feel to this one. The whole track throbs. It keeps me interested, and some of the edits are sick. Although some are maybe a little too bold, n im not suer if they work, but thats the style. Its a sick track oveall.

@cloakn dagger: jungle tunes bashy. Pad is classic, love stabs at the end, everything fits together nicely. I really have nothing bad to say about this track. However, the garage track is even better. The slidy bass noise is beauty. The atmosphere of the whole tune is great. Only crit i've got is it could have maybe one more interesting element just to drop in the background at some points to keep it souding varied. The mix is great though, sounding Tight.

@NRHc - halfbaked: Tunes got some wicked ideas, i like the pad sound and the toms work nicely. I actually dont mind the drum sounds! However the arrangement could be improved, and it does sound a bit muddy at times, which can work for a short period, but a track thats so chilled and spacy, needs more, well, space!

@reignz: Phat, chopped vocal in intro sounds good, amen drums are a nice touch, especially when used with a filter sweep. Baslines are massive, nothing bad to say, just not my cup of tea.

@ Street-creeps - Polytrix - The drums need to cut through the mix more, maybe make space for the kick and snare at least. At 0.48, your lead dominates too much. I love the bassline and in fact all the elements musically.

Here is mine, all feedback and criticisim muchly appreciated. Ta.

Also this one if you got another couple of minutes! thanks.

@ RUBICONGUAVA: Nice subtle touch on this one, plenty of room in the track, and the mix is tight. very well produced.. THANKS for sharing.

@ PETE MILES: The hi end on that snare pierces my ear drums man, got some really nice elements going on in this one. i like how you have put a bit of dnb in there! great work overall.. big ups

@ bRRRz: LOVING THE BONGOS (TRIBAL FEEL) Haha man made me grin with that baaa sample CRAZY. Nice work mate.

@ ELKAT: Great snare going off in the bottom track, some nice synth work too. nice mix overall mate keep it up.

@Juju Man- Really like the little panpipey thing, it really adds to the vibes and the bass is pretty sweet too- all in all pretty damn good

@leviticus- Thought the second one was great, the little jazzy fills and breaks made it

@rhek- Liking the hip-hop feel of the intro but i'm not so sure on the drop, it seems really jarring- i was looking for a more purple style progression, maybe make a new intro for it and a new track out of the current one?

this is me, complete ish

@Rubiconguava I am lovin the drums man. The hats you have programmed are top notch. overall this track is very very clean.
Production is very good. I'm not sure how i feel about the asian flute sample, but it seems to fit the track well. I'm also really diggin the bassline you pop in and out here and there. I would have liked to hear a little more bass. I really liked when u picked up and added double time snares but i wish you would have ran with that idea a little more.
Excellent track overall tho bro. No complaints.

@RubiconGuava Your second track the O No No, i am SOOOOO diggin the ambience and the pads. Sooooo clean. Again you excel in clean drums and exquisite High end synths. Syncopated drum patterns are on point. Reminiscent of garage music without all the harsh choppiness. Tho i like that aspect of garage as well. This track seems very dubbed out and almost hypnotic. Personally i like my shit a little more bassy and i have the notion that if this was to be played at a club in some type of DJ mix it would be either Danced to more slowly or used as a build up track to something heavier with more persuasion to move your feet. Definitely a pre drop track. CANNOT get over how clean your mix is tho man and your vocal effects are perfect. Transitions are seamless as well.

@Juju Man First off the pads and flutes you chose are very Reminiscent of 80s action and martial arts movies. thats not a bad thing if u grew up in the 80s and are in love with them like i am. Maybe kids these days wouldnt appreciate them as much as i do! The Kick drum is nice and heavy like i like them. Not a big fan of the guiro like thing just b4 the drop. But then you brought in that bassline and I was like YEEESSSSS... It made me instantly wonder why there are so many of us on here who are THIS talented and were all struggling to get signed. Your Choice of oscillators and The way you automated the Sync is superb. The needle drop you occasionally use is clean as fuck. Wheres the vocal samples? i kinda always thought that was key to dubstep. Very full pads tho. Type of shit that would make you cream ur pants if u were on X. Not like iknow anything about that im just sayin :lol: I cant find anything i woulda done different sept for maybe ur shakers are a little loud (on my system at least) and ill leave this one by saying the Bassline is fucking great.

@hutyluty The Intro is a bit shrill. It has a dark harmonic dissonance that I'm not sure if i entirely hate but theres most definitely something i don't like about it. I love ur choice of snare. kinda like a door slamming in an evil corridor somewhere in dreamland. Sounds like you smoked a Doob and went to town with the automation. Upon further listening i really enjoy some of that Beautiful harmonic resonance you have created after your pads play for a while and layer over themselves. Again on this track i find myself wondering where the actual dance-ability is. definitely on some chill and trip out type shit but nothing i would play in my car or move my ass to in the club. And the end is scary movie shit all the way. Fuck yes got me thinkin about Freddy Kruger. That was tight. More bass is my prescription but i dont think u could add it without cluttering up the mix.

@DJRaynes I am a Huge fan of this warm Organ-ish synth you layed down and the melody you provided goes well with it. Then you added another layer and i liked it more. Good job. The drums are pretty tight. The snares and the hats combined are doin their job. Woulda liked the kick a tad more bumpin but whatev, it is what it is. Perhaps the kick interfered with that heavy sustained bassline you threw in? Sounds like you applied a distortion effect to a few oscillators with a sine underneath. Did you seperate the sine into its own bus withOUT distortion? I can actually see ppl movin their feet to this one regardless of the slow vibe. I would have enjoyed a little more energy in this track. honestly it makes me feel like im still in a dream. I would play this one in my car tho for sure. specially if it had some good rhymes on top. Yea most definitely has potential to be a hit HipHop track with the right vocalist keepin things uptempo feel me? I know u were goin for Dubstep tho, and So i hate to say that about the rhyming if u werent really goin for Hiphop but...

Heres My latest creation Go easy on me fellas...

@rhek thanks for the feedback, interestingly enough I thought the drums stand out a little too much!

regarding your tune, it's definitely a good start. there's some good bits in there, but it doesn't really sound coherent in that there isn't really any synergy between the sounds or underlying melody connecting them. i would either use bits of it in other tracks (or the basis of a new track), or look for samples / synth sounds that you think could really bring it all together

@Elliottm Angels with Dirty Faces, or Home Alone? :mrgreen:

I think the melodies in the track are nice, and it could be a really good dancefloor track. I actually think the wobbles take away from it in that they make the track sound a little too busy...dialing them back a bit (lowpassing and using the highs more sparingly as a melodic touch) could really make the track a bit groovier.

@rubiconguava I liked o-no-no more than edits...for both of them, I think the biggest thing to work on is the drum programming; it just sounds a little too rigid. also, I don't think the intros need to be as long as they are, and I think these tunes are a little TOO minimal, in that there either isn't enough space being taken up, or there isn't anything standing out enough to carry the minimalism

Thanks for the feedback:)

@ rubiconguava:

Really well rounded production on both, nothing stood out badly, was more on the second track as its a bit more of the style i like, would def play this out, only thing i would maybe say is a few more fills and edits to keep it interesting, but overall really liked the sounds.

@ hutyluty:

Totally different to what i have been hearing, wasnt sure at first but after a few listens i started to get it, sounded a bit harsh? but all the noises you have used sound phat. Well put together and a grower for sure :D

@ jaydot

The idea seems cool but it sounded a little weak, half way through it started to go a bit strange with the drums, not sure if that was a deliberate thing but it didn't sound so right to me, but you are on the right track and would love to hear some other stuff you have.

Big ups!!!

@rubicon guava 'edits' The mix is real crisp. likin the programming on the hats and bass sound with the sexy attack. arrangment didn't keep me interested the whole way mayb u could have brought in an unexpected element towards the end to switch up the tune. Really nice production tho.

@cloak n daggers sig tune. Really like the groove and sound design in this. likin the kinda space invader arpegio effect. no too sure bout the timbre of the singers voice at points tho, but really feelin the production, its gotta bit of a starkey feel 2 it. switch up at the end is live too.

@ tripwire 'empty' really liked the intro but feel the snare sound that drops takes away from the deep soundscape you created. i think a more organic sample like a clap or a cool field sample ala mount kimbie might help create a more interesting and original mood. still some good ideas but the structure didnt interest me too much, but one mans garbage is anothers gold n all that

@ Alby D- Well the drums are sick, and the way all the layers come together is quite something, not sure about the little repeating synth at the end- that's the second one by the way
First one, again really like the drums, like this one much more actually, maybe more of my style, the ending is absolutely superb, you've got real talent mate

@Tripwire- niiice intro, like the building sensation, kind of like wind chimes. Not too sure about the snare (just preference i suppose), that synth line over the top is lovely though. Very nice tune.

@jaydot- more sub needed haha! I'm not really able to somment on tunes like this I'm afraid, not really my thing- maybe a bit more resonance and delay on everything to fill out the space, or low end pads?

@AfterEmpire- Cheers for the feedback, really appreciate it. Your first one- love the samples coming in and the little formant thing, not too pronounced. Proper rolling around in the car stuff, window down smoking yeah, feeling it. Not sure about the cho towards the end with the guy saying yup? maybe you need to speed up the sample or something, doesn't quite seem to fit.
Second one-nice intro, maybe longer? nice synth, sub making my room shake, kind of guitar distortion things- bring it down an octave and you'll sound like distance! unique style there though. oh yeah, really likeing the breakdown that is big building me up for a serrious scond drop, ooh 4X4 unexpected but works well, sounds kinda like load of the bassline music we get over here in yorkshire, check out some sheffield niche. Nice tunes there though especially the first one! big ups

@DJ Raynes- Nice intro, really nice harmonies- beat coming inn, nice and smooth. Sub comes in , nice bassline- not sure about the synth on the top kind of going wep, it should either be louder or not there at all. Pad in, maybe playing more of a counter melody than on the same lines as the rest of it? Nice tune though mate- plus realy appreciate the feedback you gav me :D

@leviticus-thanks for the feedback mate! wasn't sure about putting it on here but you were all well nice :w:

@JUJU_MAN really like the flute thang. think the string instrument is trying to do a bit much before the drop. nice bass! cool fx thrown in there too
@hutyluty cool soundscape in here with the pads and fx and such. i like the outro a lot. maybe put something along those lines in the middle of the piece to have a break for a moment?
@DJRaynes nice chord progression and flow throughout. nice patches used. i was kinda hoping for something more or some sort of change. but that might just be my inability to pay attention XD

here's my track with vocals by Nicki Minaj: Soundcloud

Really glad to be a part of this community. Lot of good ideas+tunes+feedback= WIN. I've finally gotten a chance to listen to the posts on page 22, and this reply will be to those artists. I'm going to post some tunes soon, I swear! But first, respect to my fellow producers is in order. So, here we go:

@ Cloak and Dagger
- "Fresh Air" - The bass at 1:40 is cool, but not as consistent volume wise. It seems to throw the track off, but I still think it sounds cool. The 4/4 outro is a nice touch too.
- "Users of Magic" - The higher bass notes sound distorted, like the oscillations of the frequencies are fighting each other, and it doesn't make the bass 'sing' as loud as it could. I think you could use the bass sounds/generators that you used for "Soviette" and it would sound awesome. Might just be my ear tho. Lovin that stacatto synth at the end!
- "Soviette" - Smoooth. Def my fave of the three.

@NRHc
- "Sick of You" - Very cool rhythm and drum sounds. It sucks you can't edit the original! It would be neat to experiment with adding a crunchy mid range synth on top of the bass line.

@teresap989 - You're welcome!

@blazinaiden
- "dukya head" - DOOD! Where's the bass?? I had my sub ( 12", 250w) all the way up and I heard nothings!! I like the arrangement and the synths but hook a brother up with some bottom end!

@petemiles
- "Fast or Slow" - You. Are. INSANE. MAN! Slow down and speed up around 1:35 blew me away. My only suggestion would be to add some vocal samples and turn the kick down in the intro so it REALLY smacks you in the face for the first drop.

@Rhek
- "Lockdown" - The drop @30 sec is hot. Nice synth sounds, but I think you could fatten up the the higher freq synth that comes in at 1:25. Write a build, break down, and slap your anthem at the end and you've got a banger!

@Leviticus
- "Poly-trix" - Very cool. Got a real drumstep vibe to it. Nice ending
- "Stuff" - Ambient, down tempo and very chill. I like the "Yoyoyoyoy" synth you can just barely hear in the background. The pad in the background at 2:28 is great, I think it would sound really cool with some wet reverb on it, make it a little more spacey sounding. Drop @4:00 was nice, maybe introduce a busier background rhythm, like 16th's on the hat, just to change the feel?

@Jujuman
- "Eastern Whorehouse" - Definitely a filthy tune about some filthy whores. Good flow, consistent energy. There are times when my attention span starts to wander, but you still pull it back. Nice.

I'll spend some time listening to all the beats on page 23 as soon as I get a chance. Until then, take care and keep postin the phatness!

EDIT: just realised they're already in my sig but watev

These are both really good! The untitled one isn't too long and flows nicely. The only thing I feel takes away from it are the hi-hats you add at about a minute in. They're too loud and stand out a bit too much, and I felt like the percussion was fine before they came in.

future-bootleg starts off really promising, but it seems to get kinda confused as it goes on...like I was expecting it to do more, but it always felt like it was meandering and leading up to something that doesn't happen. Nice work on both of them though!

@Bass Sedation, thanks for the feedback! Regarding the bass note at 1:40, that was a conscious decision to have it hit a little harder on the dancefloor (I felt the impact was lost if it was the same volume as the other bass), but I can see what you mean. Thank ya!

@cloak and dagger: niiiiiiice man. this is going straight into my cog playlist. LOVE the hihat change at 2:17, too bad its at the end of the track.

@goreilla: I like the intro from 0:00 to :49 the best. breakdown too. the wobbles are cool, definitely nothing wrong with them, but they just don't seem to come across as very unique to me. i'd definitely feel this at a club blasted like fuck tho, mhm.

Damn, the pitfalls of a shitty speaker setup. Mine barely get the sub at all, so I thought the bass was already done haha. Anywho, added a sub this time. Seems to me that creating a sub is way harder than its made out to be. Not only does getting a nice thick sound seem to prove impossible, but I can hear it covering up the track like fuck whenever the sub hits, resulting in an ugly fluctuation effect for lack of better term. Any tips for better sub creation and how I can reduce the fluctuating volume thing? Big up in advance to anyone who can help me out with this.
