Sounds like you've got this idea of fame and fortune in your head, making music to please people. Wrong attitude frankly. Like collige said, do it for yourself and make music you enjoy and want to listen too.

If you think about where you want to be, your only going to limit your creativity and get yourself in a rut like you feel today.
