thanks man, checked your song out and its a great start for someone that is new. drums sound pretty good, your bass however is a little muddy sounding to me, maybe some eq or possibly less reverb/distortion but only by small amounts. Also you need some sub on there cus at leas for the moment i do not get any out of my monitors except your kick. Very cool start though, I think this one could turn out pretty badass!

as for what plugins I used that bass was made in massive, pretty simple nothing special just the scream filter on it and then its ran through a flanger and wow filter on a notch filter setting. Then it is re-sampled, flanged again and a little exciter compression re verb, then split to two channels left and right and each of those has a chorus on it to make it ultra wide. I use mostly native fl studio effects with some other free third party ones such as the moderns plugins and kharma.

@ superginger: Champagne hasty - drums sound good, i really like the vocal samples, altho the 'now we sip champagne' gets rinsed a bit too much, try editing it in differnet ways and mixing it up a bit. The drop sounds good, could do with more sub. Like the synth noise in the intro. I think you could work on the arrangement and the build ups, it sounds like tis gonna drop wen biggy goes a bit louder but then it just goes into that piano bit, maybe save that for after the first drop in the breakdown. Look forward to hear the finished product. And your welcome to a 320 of theo-no-no i just gotta finish touching it up then ill email it to you if you send me your email ad on soundcloud. Sound, glad you like it, cheers for the feedback.

@a.paul, nice work on the piano and drums and bassline, maybe change the pad to something else? still missing something
@rubiconguava, some nice elements, like the pad and stabs, good build up and emotional, maybe needs a lead synth? love the vocal
@superginger, nice build up on piano
@tripwire, very nice drums and pad, very chilled, don't really like the bassline, also song needs some more elements to it, pretty impressive so far
@bradicle, awesome work, keep it up man your really getting there

Made this tune, don't think it's appealing enough tho, any idea to make it so would be great :)

@ mindcontrol - cool dude, summery vibe, really digging this :D
@ a.paul. Nice snare/clap mate. Drums are real nice n chilled, sub sounding tight.
@ superginger. Quite different lol, kinda growing on me. That voice annoyed me though lol.

This is new one from myself & a friend (maxtone). Just a preview of what's to come on finished project. Any feedback welcome :)

Really dark intro. It's quite long, but good!

@ Bradicle
Gotta say, loving the double clap/snare thing in the intro, it is sick. How did you do that? The song was really good untill i realized that it was about to drop even harder, I liked how chill and calm it was, and It kinda threw me off when it droped. I think the intro it self could be one song and the end good be a different song. But other than that it is pretty good. I think the snare at the end could use some work, and maybe make the clap in the begging a little thicker. I think it would be cool if you some how use the snare in the begging in the drop part, Im not a fan of how the snare sound changes, but just my opinion.

Well, here is a track im working on, it has no intro yet, but give it a look and tell me what you think.

@superginger Kicks and snares are good. Great mixing, the sub's sounding really sick with overpowering. The switch ups are nice and dirty at the end, love it. :) Only nuance is the vocals become a bit repitive... imo.

I don't really have much feedback, I'm still learning so yeah...? This is only my second track (nowhere near finished), still trying to get my head around Logic I guess. It's a really a WIP sample, still trying to find a sample or some ideas for an intro.

-Mexican: intro is totally wrong man , nothing really fit in the rythm , and the basses just popped up randomly. from 0.30 on stuff went better and i liked the atmosphere you created. drums still sound a bit too distant and should be blended in more.

- Skriptah : I'm diggin' the oldskool vibes man, deep bass. I'm just missing some sort of melodies throughout the tune. no other point i'd like to comment on rest is sounding good :)

- bradicle : the intro is fcking epic, i didn't really dig the vocal as i'm just not that into hitler in any form of music , and the drop was kinda surprising. not in a bad way , but not in a WOW way either. Imo you could do alot more with an intro like that (see chasing shadows , they have similar intro's , try get some inspiration from them)

- mindcontrol : it's good, but not really superb though. Needs some mixdown too man :)

- a.paul : deep stuff ! im not really diggin the break at 1.17 it kinda pulled me back out of the vibe you had going before. Very loefah-like if i may add ;) add some more fx though, fill it up!

- lordbid : some of your wobbles were way off mate , the sounds were okay though not refined enough for me (except for the one going in higher notes , i liked that one :) )

@Reignz, mind being a bit more specific about your critique of mine? what was off? I would really like to know so I can get better. Ill give your tune a listen as soon as I get home tonight as I am on a shitty comp n the library right now.

Well you can clearly hear eg your first wobble doesn't fit in with your drums at all , that's what i mean :) as for refinement i hear you're kinda after datsik's style , but you need to go through some more fx chains/EQ'ing to make it thicker.

@Reignz - your shit always sounds big. by the way, thanks for your comment on my track "camouflage"... it was definitely helpful. not much to say on yours except finish it! :)

@LordBid - sounds cool. I think it would benefit from a bit more musicality, because the bass sounds are sick, but they don't seem to flow as well as they all sound individually if that makes sense. someone might've said it before but they do nit a bit more punch to them as well (eq?). this track also seems like the perfect candidate for a bit of shuffle or some kind of cool percussion switch somewhere, drums seem a tad stagnant. good work though :)

@hutyluty - dakuseb is intense, very original feel. something could be wrong on this end but it seems like the percussion is very drowned out and quiet through the whole track. if you cleared them up I'm an instant fan :)

@TEKN - cool atmosphere in the intro. only thing that seems out of place is the kick drum pattern, i feel like it should change up throughout the intro, (might make the drop heavier if you keep the intro beat a bit more minimalist/low energy on the kick). cool sounds though.

@mindcontrol - trippy stuff. it's way out of my comfort range to ever attempt stuff like that so big ups for innovation :), and hopefully my suggestions don't sound dumb cuz I'm not too experienced with that kind of sound. So... I would come in with some sort of solo short synth with like a weird jazzy feel to give it a bit more character. it also might benefit from a fast paced high hat somewhere along the line, just for a cool subtle switch up. lastly, maybe some high end fx low in the mix (sounds like you've got a couple already, but i think the more the merrier with stuff like that probably). bass is nice and thick, no complaints on the low end.

I was just hopefully going for something different here. Needs work on some of the transitions and the mixdown (I always need help on this aspect), and I'm not entirely happy with the intro yet. Hopefully just minor tweaks here and there though. Thanks in advance for feedback :).

@Reignz - Alright gave your track a listen on my monitors, great intro and it has some cool atmospherics as well, listened a couple of times to see if anything was really off but it all sounds pretty good. I think the build up to drop could be way more intense, right now I don't think it translates enough energy into the actual drop. I think this could benefit from an extra white noise sweet or some other such thing to add a little more intensity to that build. I loved your drums, and great play with the hihats and whatnot. I think a couple more sweeps/reversed cymbals would really help some transitions in here, especially on the last part although your obv still working on that. I think your bass may be a little too reverby but thats just nitpicking and I also think your sub could use a little more uuumph.

@Venture - Hey this track is cool as shit man, great play between all the sounds and some great sound design. I do think some of those synths and that tinkly bell thing need to sit better in the mix they seem almost a little too loud, but only a little. Overall some of the levels on your bass are a bit overpowering, drowns out the hats in some parts of the song. some eq or bring the hats up a little will fix that though. Super sick though I rather like it.

thanks to everyone giving me feedback, im going to take out the break at 1:17 just didn't want it to get boring, not sure what to do with it haha.
thanks again and here's a quick post!

@reignz - like the intro! really nice work on the bassline!

@venture - really unique, love the melody over the bass and great use of samples.

@mindcontrol - liking the feel of this one, maybe add some chopped up vocal samples over certain areas. just my idea though.

@skriptah - big bass sounds, kryptic minds ish, nice dark tune!

@ MindControl - I'm liking the flow of it, and the bass is great as well, maybe try to progress it more, i'm sure you aren't finished with it, so maybe add some more sounds to it/vary up the instruments, and add more creative touches and it'll be real rad.

@ LordBid - Love the wobble, real similar to the infamous datsik bass haha. As for critique, maybe make it more louder? It seems quiet to me, but the bass is still wonderful.

I'd like some critique on the sig, something im working on now with the Ableton 30 day trial lol, I'm used to FL but wanted to give ableton a try and i'm loving it so i'd like some tips on how i can improve it :D

oh and yes haha i realize theres just nothingness during the outro, already fixed it, just haven't uploaded it on soundcloud.

@Starmaker - So let me start off by saying I really like the electro house drums at the beginning but I think this track could benefit from a more built up intro into said rock out moment. Overall your mixdown needs a lot of work, sub seems too loud, mid range bass guy is too small/muddy in the mix and not wide enough, snare seems a little lost in there could use some more ooomph. once all these things are cleared with some eq I think this track will sound loads better! love the dark feel of your melodies btw!

Here is my updated one I gave some feedback earlier on this page but if you want some from me Ill gladly return the favor! Its got an intro now, I widened the main bass synth a lot, adjusted the levels, brought the volume up so its listenable and made some new hihats! - still not 100% keen on the drop but I'm liking where its headed think a few more listens and fixing and it will be good. I just cant listen to it anymore right now Its so stuck in my head I cant take it anymore ha!
