I know I stretched the definition of punk a tiny bit with that.

'Cause Capitalist Casualties be the best <.<

I have a Last.FM, but hardly make any of it because it slows down this shitty ass computer.

When I was a lad, in 1979, this was the type of punk I was listening to, before it all went shite and became just another fashion statement:

produced by the legendary Lee Scratch Perry, for gawd sake!

...take that and parrrrty!!!!!!!!

Funny that you've got the clash in there after that comment. Nowadays it seems that everyone who likes them are bank managers who claim they like punk and teenage posers who think that liking the sex pistols and the clash constitutes being into punk music. Not taking the piss out of your comment. It's just what it's become like

It didn't go 'shite'. The UK took the sound that was invented in Detroit, made it into a mainstream fashion statement and declared it 'dead' before any of the great bands had even formed while fully ignoring all the contributions from mainland Europe, Japan, South America and the USA. -.-

Yep, that's what happens after 30 years. But in 1979, if you weren't listening to the stuff I've just posted (i.e. the music played by John Peel, for the most part) you were an "old hippy has-been", so by claiming to like The Clash, or whoever, is a way of trying to improve your street credibility. If you know anyone like that send them to me and I'll interrogate them to find out if they're fake or not!

One of my favourite tracks as a kid was this one, stirred up such a wonderful mental story to think about

Anyone playing 'punk' kinda vibes by the way? Me and a mate got a satirical punk thing going on at the minute (Punk's answer to Spinal Tap)... Hopefully have some recordings in a few weeks haha
