SUNDAY OCT 31ST

"The death of summer is upon us, the sun makes it's exit and takes with it our protection of light, as we enter the darker half of the year. Nightfall finds it's bigger emergence, and with that the creatures of the night gain their strength. The bitter cold becomes more, and more with each passing night, killing natural life all around us. Lurking above our heads a half empty moon, half devoured by the eminent evil created hallows eve. At the stroke of seven, Sunday October thirty first, that evil reaches it peak, all wicked forces combining into a power that cannot be comprehended. No priest, no God, no army can stop it,.... the Monsters come out!"

Their history is a long one but we'll give you a glimpse of the story that is theirs. Kewl and Kruel were born in the year 1006 a.d. in a Chinese Monastery called Wu Tang Shan, where they had been raised and tought the Shaolin's ways, finding the secret of immortality.

With close to a millennium of life experiences, they move to New York to open a Shaolin training academy to spread the passion of the Shaolin to others. 1994 The Fists hear a sound that infatuates them, the sound of a broken beat, and insane bass embodied them. They were hooked, researching this thing called Drum and Bass, and started incorporating the sound with their training. They trained on how to mix, and do tricks with records keeping their identity a mystery to all, they unleashed their fury upon the world.... THE SHAOLIN FISTS OF FURY WERE BORN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J0NN HAWLEY -Milwaukee
(Soul Fuel*Large*Klassik Fiasco*Sound Navigators*Organized Crime*Mr. Drobot)
http://www.myspace.com/jhawley - http://soundcloud.com/jonn-hawley

Music and dance have always been driving forces in Hawley's life. At age nine Hawley learned to play the saxophone, cello, and stand up bass. As a teenager music continued to shape the course of Hawley's life; in the late eighties he began break dancing. In 1991 Hawley started actively pursuing his love of music as a deejay. Hawley drew inspiration from the budding house and techno music scenes in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit.

His career as deejay was influenced by the sounds of brother Michael J and other deejays such as Derrick Carter, Ralphi Rosario, Mark Farina, Derrick May, Green Velvet and Fast Eddie. Hawley's musical talents were quickly recognized. Along with playing at numerous raves he soon found himself playing at some of the most influential clubs in Chicago and Milwaukee, such as: Karma, Red No. 5, Smart Bar, Mad Bar, Dragon Room, Tom Tom, Three ,and Thai Joes. He was also named resident deejay at Milwaukees Summerfest in 1998.

In 1999 Hawley decided to put together all the pieces of musical knowledge he had acquired throughout his life and dive into the world of production. In 2002 Hawley began releasing tracks using the aliases Under Origin and 5900 West. He also established Foundation 75, his production studio. Then in 2003 Hawley launched his label, Soul Fuel Recordings at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. Currently, Hawley is busy traveling to deejay, releasing tracks on his own, as the Sound Navigators, and with partner in crime Marcus Aurelius as Organized Crime on various underground house labels and his own label Soul Fuel Recordings. Whether he is deejaying, producing, or running his label the one sure and unchanging characteristic of Hawley's style is this: He will never be ordinary...

BOOGIE B -Denver
(Voodoo*Vertigo*Funky Fresh)
http://www.myspace.com/dj.boogie.b - http://www.soundcloud.com/djboogieb

Starting in 2002 with a pair of numark turntables, mixer, and some records, Boogie B started his learning to mix on his own. He learned soon how to beatmatch and other lil tricks of the trade. He was playing Tribal House and Progressive House. These deep dark percussive beats thrived heavily in his early sets, Dark N Dirty, All Spun Out. His inspirations included Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Digweed, and many many more.

Time went along and as the musical taste changed in the scene he did also. His musical taste shifted to Electroclash and Electrohouse. Artists like Miss Kittin, Laurent Garnier, and Tiga were some major influential pieces to his new flavor in his sets. Heavy synths and driving basslines were evident in his mixes, Digital Degenerate and Down the Foxxhole. Encompassing an eclectic range he would weave through these mixes taking you on a musical journey as he feels the music.

Time passes again, and the electro sound is still thriving however he is growing and wants to play a new sound, Fidget and Dubstep. Boogie always loved a wobbly bassline, when UKG and Grime was running rampant in the early 2000's he was defintely a follwer but the garage scene soon died and the sound was scarce until Fidget and Dubstep came. The return of wobbly basslines and whompy beats gave the lead for a new direction. 2007 had come with Fidget House, and Boogie was once in love with bass heavy beats from the UK. He was playing more shows locally and found friends in Blingfaced and Funky Fresh Ent. who took to the young dj and helped refine and promote him. Since changing styles, he has grown through many levels of electronica. In 2010 he has joined forces with DJ Soleil of Denver to create the tag duo Voodoo. Thier sets are filled with high energy, bass, and many different styles of music .

They have created quite the following in Colorados scene and are planning dates out of state as well, be sure to keep an eye out for these two.
Since he has become known as one of Colorados Favorite Locals he has played many clubs, parties, and burner events. Whether Boogie is dropping some Grimey Dubstep in a warehouse or bangin Tribal House on Mainfloor of BETA, he will definetely get you movin to the beat.
