too many sound engineers don't have any respect for hiphop, they all seem to think it will be a piece of piss "how hard could it really be" and don't understand the nuances of the genre. shit sound at hiphop gigs is far too common.

every warehouse i went to had TERRIBLE sound, the first two were the worst, the third was still bad, then i just stopped going altogether

don't think they're willing to pay the really good engineers you'd need to get good sound from those awkward spaces.

pray his "hype" man (aka a giant dude yelling over all his lyrics) doesn't show up.

also pray he doesn't try to play everything off his broken mpc from 1994 which will maybe work 40% of the time.

also pray he doesn't get all full of himself and make everyone wait hours for him to get on stage.

there is a fair chance of it being like that, doom goes from being ultra amazing at live shows to ultra-wack, it really is pot luck. got mates in the states that have seen him like 6/7 times and massively different reports for each gig.
