You can attatch meaning to whatever you want.
yes but in the end is it really meaningful? (i'm not saying it isn't tho, don't get me wrong)
It's only as meaningful as you believe it is.
it's funny to see people react this way if someone says that insanity is perhaps not always bad
but you're right. I don't want to sound like a nihilist because love, friendship and harmony definitely are meaningful.

To you, insanity could be meaningful but to others it could be nothing. Not everyone makes the same connections.
Insanity is subjective anyway.

I think insanity is meaningful pre-occurence and to other people, mad people don't know they're mad in general.

i agree with parson.
speaking from experience although the substances are different, they ultimatly all point in the same direction.
i reccomend listening to terrance mckenna if you interested in stuff like this
very drunk and stoned so cant be bothered to discuss this properly till tommorrow
but all in all this article is total bullshit. the reason bruce parry was puking was because the other shit put into ayuasca has maoi inibiters in making the trip last longer and multiply in intensity. i find it funny how much they twist shit to scare people when to be honest the only thing that dmt threatens is a vastly incomplete perception of the life.

That puking is integral to the ritual as purification like baby woodrose seeds make you shitty and sicky, if you correctly prepare for the experience like fasting for the day before or having them for breakfast and at least eating healthily in the prior day you can move with the feelings a lot better and you'll feel amazing afterwards! It's washing your mind and your body in one go, holding stuff in is like constipation and that ain't healthy... Just drink a fair amount of water (mixing sage with the infusion is also good for controlling your bodily fluid secretions during the experience like saliva)

Pretty sure you have to fast from dairy products for a few days before taking ayahuasca because of all the tryptophans.

Lol! I cut dairy out of my diet, in the UK it's all pasteurised which makes it harder to digest (and it's why the average cheese is shit in comparison to, say, France)

i agree. i remember with my first truely intense experience with acid i was puking up as i was "dying"; but after the death i was reborn into some sort of dimension where everything was amazing, it felt almost like an afterlife. i think the puking is part of the expulsion of negativity and ego death, and the rebirth follows.

the shaman dude that conducted the ayahuasca ceremony i participated in said that you have to drink lots of water and the water travels around through the body collecting toxins and that the purging is part of the cleansing process.

i once said to a friend regarding dmt "if i believed in god DMT would definitely be proof"
personally never had any bits of hell on dmt, always beautiful, warm and fluffy affairs.

true that usually its nice, but my freind is an example of when dmt goes wrong
he's gone totally insane and now thinks that aliens are controlling the government and his mind preventing us from reaching spiritual enlightnenment on higher levels

we'll he claims he's going not going insane hes gong sane, which in ways i sort of agree with him
almost everything he talks about is fucking deep
but the fact that he thinks that neurofunk dnb is the path to enlightenment, and once you have created the perfect bass sound you can automaticially reach a higher state of being.. bit strange
but i guess theres no way proving your perception of reality is the right one, i guess theres no way of prooving it

The thing is with most of society is that 'talking deeply' about the world is seen as weird yet there's nothing wrong with analysing reality.
The quest for the perfect sound is Nada Yoga, maybe you could recommend it to him as a more structured way of going about it? It might help him relax a bit, buy him a shaman's drum too so he bang himself happy (and dance a bit, makes me feel better when I'm stressed anyway)
