viruses/bacteria mutate btw, you'll never to keep with all the new vaccinations you are going to need to deal with the ever evolving face of disease

no, if you could read you would see that i said this difference is the explanation for the prevailability of disease in non western countries, rather than availability of vaccination

EPIC SMH U TURNIP
Badger isn't arguing about that. He's asking if people that live in such conditions in, among other places, Africa, should not be vaccinated either. Regardless of their incapability of dealing with the illness.
they can do whatever they want

if that's the case, why bother with the vaccine? just get measles, you'll be ill once then that's it, and if you were meant to die then you were meant to die lol
you're not going to get polio these days, or cholera, or whatever, because we live in the west and we have a great quality of life whoooopie
Hackman, if you read one of my earlier post that's exactly what I said, however that is not the case in much of the developing world. Tbh, what is this all about? This has been an educational thread, but i think its time for all parties to sum up there stances on vaccinations and then to agree to disagree if that they don't go hand in hand.

I believe vaccinations are not so necessary if you live in say the UK, however if I lived in Bangladesh, I would view them as very necessary.

Each country merits a different approach in terms of vaccination programs.

Grand

this is all about dickheads needing to respect that people have the right to not be vaccinated if they want
Uhh yeah, no one's saying people don't have the right to not get vaccinated. People aren't making you out to be the devil himself for you not wanting to get vaccinated.

They're not attacking your choice, but your reasoning and your attitude towards people that disagree with you.

I don't think every parent should just vaccinate the hell out of their kids. There are some short term side effects that can become very problematic (and these don't include autism or any of that). Kids are vulnerable and can't just handle anything you can dish out at them. That's why vaccination should always be discussed with a doctor.

This is why vaccines are constantly updated to suit the current strain.

evolutionary nature of disease is kind of like natures way of giving vaccination the finger

True to a certain extent, but plenty of vaccinations have been working perfecty for over a century now. Polio is still Polio, Measles is still Measles, Smallpox is still Smallpox (or Cowpox anyway! :) )

The most troublesome mutators are things like Influenza and, latterly, MRSA which are either not widely vaccinated against or only vaccinated against in times of epidemic.

You literally have no idea how lucky you were to be born in Britain in the 20th Century. On a par with winning the lottery.

You're perfectly welcome to not immunise yourself. My complaint was your spreading of baseless disinformation, which when it reaches the shores of Africa actually DOES cause deaths. That's a far bigger threat to humanity than walking around without your Tetanus booster. I want my African cousins to have the life expectancies we enjoy over here... it seems you'd disagree... live short, but live 'natural'? (apart from all the recreational sold-for-profit drugs, homeopathy drugs and all the other chemicals you happily imbibe and promote of course)

Also, I didn't have you in mind when I posted this thread (I don't think we've discussed vaccinations before, but I know I have with others).

You decided to make this your argument... talk about defensive...!

Evolutionary nature of humans is kinda like giving the the rest of nature the finger. Get used to it, I would say. There's nothing inherently wrong with it.
