the death of dubstep and the evolution of music

Post by gonzodj » Fri Oct 15, 2010 5:38 am

since i got warned and never got to fully say what i wanted to (which was my fault)

dubstep is dead, it never existed in the first place, and we've run out of labels to put on music. so now maybe it can just be music again.

true artistic merit cannot be put under a label.

it's cool, you don't seem like a very aware human being. i probably wouldn't have valued your opinion anyways.

you can't make a blanket statement like "dubstep is dead" and expect people to have an intellectual conversation with you about music. Dubstep is a decade old, ffs! music doesn't die, people's passion for it does... is jazz dead? rock and roll? hip hop? even jungle is alive and well, if you know where to look... come on man :?

you're an idiot.. how can something be dead if it never existed? i guess you just want to go around posting catch phrases.. funny that, when you don't like labels you say generic things.

dubstep is just a name used to describe a part of music
the evolution of music and the names that you put genres of music under are two completely different things
if people believe that dubstep still exisists, it still exists
Hey I produce under the name Dosage.

imo, it will mostly like fade in and out like everything else but the ones who have the passion for it will stick with it and all the movers and shakers will move onto the next big thing to get all rich and famous. Those with the REAL passion for dubstep will continue what they love to do regardless of whats huge or whatever. Real passion is doing something you love doing, taking a lot of risk not being afraid of failure, and you expect little or nothing in return but you do it anyhow because you love it and cant see yourself doing anything else. THAT is what keeps everything alive!

Wasn't there a thread not long ago, where you spread the same nonsense? And because it was nonsense the thread was closed?
It's still nonsense, so shut the :q: up!
