solid mix, as i said on the cloud, but i would bring up the snare just slightly. The bass is nice but i would have made the mid/high end less wet on the reverb and chorus, just personal preference. Overall very solid, like any other track of yours! Keep it up.

@Depone: Sweet stuff! Great mix, it sounds really big

@StarvinMarvin: Cool intro, overall a nice relaxing 'atmosphere'. Yeah nice song :) , but personally i would take the synth in the first rhythm at the same level. It is kinda low in some parts.

@reignz: Damn i love you're work. you rock

Now, this is my first demo ever made. Hope you like the sound of screwed up worms. :)

@Johnst - Cheers for the feedback dude. I'm gonna be in wales with no speakers untill sunday evening but I'll try to have a listen on headphones later and if not I'll defo crit you back when I'm back home again.

EDIT: On the headphones now, pretty cool tune. Like the synthesis on the growls and it's got a nice 'guitary' sound to the track that sounds quite interesting to me, not the usual unmelodic midrange growl you see on these forums. Drum's need tightening up the most, can barely hear that kick at all when in a tune like this you want it to really punch you in the face! rest of the drums are too subtle too but the kick is the most important and most lacking IMO. I think really all this tune is missing is a decent mixdown, the composition is pretty sound and it had me bobbing my head along. Maybe a high pitched lead playing a sparse melody at points just to keep the tune feeling fresh?? Dunno if your still going to work on this but I feel with only like an hour or 2 extra work on it you could turn it from a good song into a really saweeet tune. Hope that helps and isn't too critical dude :) I liked what I heard!

I just realized that I never actually signed up for an account on here! Hahahaha. I've been on here for a few months but only to read through the forums. There is quite a wealth of knowledge on this site.

Anyhow - I wanted to get some honest feedback from you guys since you know what you're talking about. It took me ages to get the mixdown/mastering right on this tune and I'm not even sure if its good now. I have lost all objectivity when it comes to this tune.

I just read that the rules are: review 3 tunes and you get your tune reviewed. I'm heading out right now for a buddy's birthday bash so I don't have time to give a proper review on anything but I will over the weekend. In the mean time, if anyone has any comments or constructive criticism I would love to hear it.

@Depone Good mix and i LOOVED the mid part of the song, it's crazy! Also liked the drums innt, but at the end of the day the good mix is what i like the most :) big up !!

@Bledbox I liked it the only thing i qould change a bit is the drums which are nice also but htey're too dry for my taste, a lil bt pf reverbs and delays and a bot more of punchyness to it would give the track more of a benger feeling to it! Cheers! really liked it inspite of that :)

@Starvinmarvin for being your first track sounds pretty dope man, its not my type of tunes but its pretty good, keep doing tracks man!

@Reign SHIT! good sounds but the Snare lose power when the whole song comes in, but its definetly a banger man!! :)

@Toot! The intro is WAAAAAAYY too long and WAAAAAYY too boring, try to make it shorter and not tha simple, definetly that put me out of the track for sure man :S

@Sidereal Everything is too shit raw man, specially the bass, no envelopes at all, didn't feel the kick drum either, but hey it's just my taste yknow, i would change the kick for another one.

@Jaydot liked the melodic part but im not getting the lead part, i mean the bass, not my thing i guess :S

@A-List Vibing this a lot man! The bass is beautiful and the melody too, whith some percussion on the intro would be a great track!

@TRaffik Loving the wobbles a lot! the mix is weird though, but those kind of datsik sounds are really killing it!

I listened a few good songs, i have a little clip of my new song called Breach, i hope you're vibing it and give me some feedback or criticysm, Bless to you all!!

I also have a forthcoming release on Apex Records real soon in case you might wanna check it out and give some support

some pretty rad '''vibes''' itt~

a smorgasbord of respect for kievccs for the big tunes & good luck at Apex

Soundcloud

i am not new at producing although i only ball out a song maybe 10 times a year due to incredible time consuming jobs.... (wish i had more time!!)

i realize it's poorly mixed & mastered this is because i make these at work equipped with a laptop and the standard '''''headphones''''' you get when purchasing an iphone lmao

@ Depone:
Really nice tune. Liked the melody in the background. Keep it up!

@ Joyz0r:
I dig the broken/wonky vibe mate. Also the bass shaked my desk rather well. =)

@ kievccs:
Killer bass. Awesome tune. 'nuff said.

@ TRaffikz:
This one's really got me bouncing mate! The snare slapped me in the face.

@ reignz:
Intro and drop were SICK! Nice wobbles, too. The distorted synths could be fucked up only a liiiittle bit more in my opinion.

@ StarvinMarvin:
Pretty impressive for your first tune. I'd turn the snare up a bit, though.

Don't wanna cause offence mate but to me it seemed like an intro that went on way too long. I know that wasn't your intention but what I'm saying is that's how it seemed to me and lots of other people so if people are being given a different message by your tune than the one you wanted then something needs to be altered. If you want it to be that length and be more of a progressive slow buildup then it needs to have progression and buildup!! people should be able to realise you haven't accidentally copied the intro too many times when they listen to it, the progression should tell a slow moving story leading you further into the song. I can see what you were trying to do and there are some great ideas in it, I listen to a lot of nathan fake and the like and they do similar things but there just isn't enough going on in it to keep you interested for that long. It could be a really good tune but it needs some more variation to get there it really does :\

@reignz prime track. good samples.
@Project Ex i like how ur going for a different sound.

2nd that! i-m not saying as in a bad way to desacredit your tune but it's just my perception of what is missing so you can make your tune a lot better, that's what's this topic about ins't it?

Cheers bro!

@paravrais: "too harsh"? :o dude that was ten times more good feedback than i was expecting lol. i'm glad you liked it, and thank you for pointing out the drums, i wouldn't have noticed that. my headphones are crap and i won't be getting anything decent for producing/mixing for awhile, so i kinda gave up on trying to make my drums sound awesome, but thinking about that now it seems a bit silly. i'm not really sure how to go about it though. i've sidechained to my synth, layered my kicks, and tried to eq, but it doesn't seem i was able to give them that punch... sounds like i may just need to focus on my drums for a little? thanks again, really helpful crit! :t:

Right, Feedback time.

@Joyzor: I like this actually, i like th rythym, and it's got an original sound too it. Personally though, im not a massive fan of novelty noises like someone sneezing in the background but hey, whatever floats your boat haha.

@Pete miles: This is a really nice tune, the vocals fit perfectly with the music. And the sounds blend together nicely. The dip's in volume seem quite noticeable though, maybe ease of the compression slightly? Great work though.

@Depone: This is nice, there's alot going on but each part has the right amount of space. It's a very well produce track. Im not so sure the intro/underlying key sound( i don't really know how to describe it ha) fits with the main synth/bass as well as it good. Very good tune though apart from that.
