That 'Thiaoouba Prophecy' really touched me, I hope it is true
Strongly recommend it even if you think its total bullshit. Its a free EBook for anyone whos interested

Now reading 'The freedom of Choice' By Thomas Chalko.

He manages to put fairly difficult concepts(to me) in a fairly easy way, the first line made me laugh
Imagine a dog.
Suppose that you present a dog with two items to choose from:
a beautiful diamond
and
a piece of shit.
Guess what would interest the dog?
Surely NOT the diamond. The dog may even piss on it.
WHY is a dog perfectly HAPPY about its choice?
Simply because dog’s limited intellect doesn’t allow appreciation of the beauty of a diamond.
Our conscious choices are determined and limited by our Intellect.

Anything by Iain M Banks. His Culture novels are amazing. The guy has a giant imagination and the writing skills to back it up.

Get to know.

Just finished reading The Female Eunuch. Well worth the read. She goes on a bit sometimes without focus, but all in all, worth it!

hmmm interesting.

John Wyndam is good for some classic sci-fi, and not too heavy if you're busy or whatever

Absolutley loving this book

"Elephants on Acid is a wonderfully entertaining, authoritative collection of history’s most bizarre experiments, from the 19th-century creation of zombie kittens to a University of Wisconsin study that answers, definitively, the question of whether women who play hard to get really are more desirable. As well as learning what happened to Tusko, you will discover the 1959 mathematical equation for the point at which chatter at a drinks party becomes loud; whether listening to Mozart makes children super-students; and the secret of how to sleep on planes . . . "

* If left to their own devices, would babies instinctively pick a well-balanced diet?

* If you were unfortunate enough to fall down a disused mine shaft, would your dog run to fetch help?

* Which really tastes better in a blind tasting -- Coke, or Pepsi?

one of the most beautiful and relaxing books i've read in a long time. free download nearly everywhere, and perfect for the train commute.
