@Pete Miles - Pretty good structure to the song, The intro should of stayed as a 4/8 bar loop instead of having a new sequence every 4 bars because it got too complex, as for the bassline it was okay, really not my type of dubstep to be honest but good work none of the less

@advocate - Reaaaaaally liking this man, really nice percussion and drums, the bassline is a killer! the chord stabs also add so much depth to the song. The breakdown is nice and minimal, not too keen on the bass sound in the second drop, keep it up!

@resykle - You need to work on your mix, the bass is toooo loud, snare might need to go up a bit, not really feeling the bassline to be honest, the structure of the song is really solid which is always good!

@Zebrakid - nice and dark bassline and into, nice use of samples too, 0.33-0.42 sounds really nice, if you could of incorporated that a bit more into your tune it would be perfect

Would love some feedback on our newest tune!

EDIT:

@impey:Great melody and great sounds in the intro man , i like the vibe of your track , maybe you could share something about how you make your sounds they sound awesome , i really love your track man , good work.

@JayZest:I like the percusion in the intro maybe you could add a pad or something , it sounds too empty for my taste , i think your tune is good but needs more variation

@Advocate: i miss some hook in your tune seems that your sounds don't fit well with each others , sounds good to me anyway .

I can't help but wonder if this is a collage of accidents that just happened to come out sounding really good or if it was deliberately planned. In the end I guess it doesn't matter. It's very chaotic, but in a good way. Reminds me a little of Kode 9 only it's not shit.

Soundcloud A Drum & Bass tune I've been working on. I don't expect much feedback given that this isn't dubstep, but I thought I'd throw it up here anyway and see what you guys thought.
Big thanks man, I definitely don't want to sound like something that's been herd a million times over so the accident
bit is a big compliment, it was actually (more or less) planned. Sick tune you put up too, I listened to that and "Can't Mend These Broken Wings"
you definitely have that sad, makes you want to go smoke on a rainy day kind of vibe down. Good stuff.

@ voodeedoo. Haha I quite like it. Kinda reminds me of an outro in one of deadmau5's tunes!! Cool vibes to it!

@ ogunslinger. Liking the intro. Not fond of the bass. But that's just my taste. Track is well done man. Loving that rise!!

@ TRaffikz. Oh yea man loving that intro and little atmospheric vocal sample. The hook is mint!! Got bar9 feel, just speed up! Bloody nice allup brother!

@ Zebrakid. Very nice little intro. Like the little piano hits in there. I have the biggest weak spot for piano melodies. Track sounds very nice and peacefull!! Bigup!

@ zuta. Intro reminds me of something in the Iranian desert or something LOL! Love it. Drums are dope! That little melody sounds mint, sounds like it's just floating around in there. But i think at about 2mins. Not sure about that. I think if the track kinda stayed like it was at the start, would be ace.

Just finished this. I'll post some feedback in couple hours when I've got more time :).

This is quite a chilled out melodic/vocal dubstep track. I've got a hardcore backround so i'm melody happy.

Any feedback welcome :)

@A-List Loving the tune completely, the drums must be like os minimalist and simple on purpose i guess, they fit perfectly :) this is an example of simplicity and greatness :) BIG UP!! Loving it!

@Zuta Well structured, you could turn up the volumen more if you want to and get a more fierce sound, didn't like those screetchy synths on the 2nd part, they're not pleasant at all, but in general line good production!

@Kaiori Breathe mmm i like the melodies and stuff, but it's poorly produce man, i understand your statement and so, but in my opinion this should be a work for ourselves instead for everyone, i also got tunes and they suck horrible but i did them in a time where it came up naturally ad i enjoy them but it doesnt have any sharing purpose to other people. Big up man! i hope you dont misunderstood what i've said, it's a good criticysm at my point of view :) it's all the same at the end of the day, MUSIC (i have a song just like that on my cloud also you can check it anytime you want http://soundcloud.com/kiev/attilio-lafo ... untitled-1 )

@FILTRONIKS Loving that "unleash hell" sample, the drums need some work, it's difficult with all that mid sounds and everything but you could tweak a little more and see how you got :) good song, the sub is not that present it would be great to have more presence innit

@bRRRz hey man! your idea is good but it feels kind of empty, do some fx and sounds above of the tune to make more of a good feeling to it, (Sweeps bleeps and stuff like that) and you could do some other bassline for changing it up once in awhile. Cheers man!! :)

@TRaffik SICK! well produced! loving the samples and the variations of it, this is s good tune no real criticysm to do at all, Congratulations bruv!!

@Jetsam Loving this! very good work on everything! Nothing really i could give some criticysm at all, this is a tune!

I did this remix for Saigon84', it's only a clip but it's enough with that, if you like it ad want to listen the whole song just aim me :)

@kievccs: I'm really digging the soft sound. I can see myself relaxing to this on a Thursday night, easily.

@TRaffikz: Nice expression in your bass. In addition to your variation, it's always nice to hear (largely) wobble-less dubstep. Interesting low-cut at 1:55, too. Keep it up, mate.

@Bradicle: Melody happy is always happy; nice melody, there. I think that you could bring those vocal samples out a bit, but as it stands, they fit quite well. Nice, smooth sound.

So, does anyone like Transformers? Thought I'd give autobot-rapping robostep another go.

Thanks for the kind words. As promised, some feedback in return:

@ ogunslinger: I already commented on your first track. About the second track:
I'm digging the grimy atmosphere man! Good, firm snare as well. I like the part
with the slower wobble the most. Levels seem all right, mix is good. Good job!

@ bradicle: Damn, big, big sounds. Not a big fan of the "epic" vibe, but the production level is pretty high.
Also, i agree with the soundcloud comment @ 3:02, the bass could use a little more body.
But overall, good mix, levels and structure. Keep it up!

@ kievccs: Love it! Fits my mood on this early morning! Production level is high, and there's nothing i could criticize.
But man, why is it so short? Your intro + outro is 34 seconds. That leaves us with 1:23 of "drop" (by lack of a better word).
Expand it and make it an even bigger tune! Big ups!

@ kikaruu: Nice one! Not really feeling all bass sounds, but the general feel of the tune is dope.
Cool vocal samples!
On a technical level, your mix could be a bit tighter imo. The drums could pound a bit harder with some proper eqing.
A very good job nonetheless. Congrats!

@bradicle /let-me-breathe: nice sound, at first I thought it's a remix of Lady Gaga - Alejandro (not the original, but some disco remix they play on local radio), because of that lead synth/melody and some vocals, but I like it more that Lady Gaga ;-) ...I really like that kick building the intro!

@TRaffikz I'm not into wobbling, but it sounds good when it's not overused and this is that case :-) I like that sawwy synth...I like dark songs more, you could put some lowpass filter on the vocal, so it'll sound more dark, I find that electro zap sample annoying, it would sound more cleaner without it in my humble opinion :-)

@zuta /demian: oh man, I like this one! Great pluck synth and melody, great bass! Some of my ideas to make it perfect: when you look on the image of the song, you'll see that the volume of the track is not at 0dB (or -0.3dB), but in the and where's that subbass bomb, it's at 0dB, I would make it louder a bit, so the main part with bass is as loud as that sub bomb at the end. Also that drop is quite boring, there's only some kick/snare loop, if it would be few seconds short, it won't be so boring, but at this length it's boring and me as a DJ wouldn't know when track hits back again. I would add that pluck into this part and maybe put some filter on it comming from low to high (LP cutoff) and maybe some other sample right before it smashes again, so I know when to spin another vinyl into it. It has nice experimental feel (that I like). At the end of the song, there's the best version of that pluck, this pluck reminds me Benga & Coki - Night a little. It would be nice to have 2 version (remixes) of this track, one purely experimental without that pluck and one with that pluck only (that at the end) and maybe mix it live at a party :-)

Any comments on this are welcome, it's a CLIP (second half of the song), it's my first song! A friend of mine (Madface) did that trance pluck in the intro and a bit of beat and I did that saw lead, effects, mastering, finalizing. I'm more into DnB (mixing from vinyl for a few years) and want to produce DnB (techstep, neurofunk) in future, but I started with dubstep to get into it in lower BPM :-)

@ tripwire22, lovin' the ambient feel on your tune man, especially on how the sub hits.
@ lightshapers, fucking beautiful. What a massive phat bass and the drums hit real good. I'm feeling that female sample in the background as well haha nicely done man.

Well here are my tunes again but this time I'm posting them here.
I started these 3 around June-July, I think some of ya heard these already in the work in progress thread.
Had some mixing issues here and there but I kinda got em down (just a bit).
Would highly appreciate some feedback on these and will return the favor as soon as I can.
Safe.
