New dark(ish) ambient dubstep song I made with reason 4. I'm pretty pleased with it so far, just need to add some more elements like the sub bass. Any feedback would be welcome ;)

So excited to be done with a new track so ill give as much feedback as I can!

@impey - super chill man, this has great vibes and HEAVY, HEAVY SUB! it all flows very nicely as well for how simplistic the overall idea is. I almost wish the drums were a little more prominent, its not a huge deal but I feel like the kick could thwak a little more in the lower frequencies. also I think that the snare could be a little louder as im sure on a large system it could get lost under such a huge sub mix. Overall great vibes, I would call this bedroom listening dubstep or babymaking dubstep or something haha not really dance music but a pretty slick tune. And I love the vocal sample!

@Zuta - slick drums man. The song itself is very avant-guarde in its approach and bizarre atmosphere. with some of that stuff in there I get a mars volta or NIN kinda vibe of crazyness with that feedback or whatever it is going on in there. That transition into the breakdown is not good though, way too abrupt and ruins the crazy tension going on there. Overall its cool I think the sub could be turned up a little bit. Transitions could sue some more work to cement this piece in my opinion.

@Traffikz - cool panning going on in the intro. Those sawwavvy lfo basses are always interesting. This song has some cool groove and great sample use. I like the parts where it gets all filtered. So many good ideas in this song really. I don't have anything negative to say about it you are definitely on the right track!

@Bradicle - well after listening to this in the WIP, it has gotten much better, drop was great and I love the epic lead ravvy synth great melody, reminds me of like oldschool rave trance for some reason. great transitions all around. Overall very beautiful work. This version flows so much better. I think your drums do get drowned out a little bit at times mix-down wise but that is me being nitpicky, overall super sick.

@kievccs - great driving beat here, helps make this otherwise more subby tune a lot more dancy. I usually find subby songs to get a little boring but this at least held my attention. pretty cool not really to my taste but it is well produced and mix-down excellently. And the transitions are so smooth you barely notice them so great work there.

@kikaruu - haha wonky. pretty cool. I think your basses are little over-processed to the point of being too distorted. good groove here though. I think your mix-down could use some work as those midrange noises dominate your mix pretty hard kinda blots the drums out a little bit. Tracks like this benefit from a lot of syncopation and rests which I think is one thing that this song could use as its kind of just an all out assault that doesn't stop but it needs some rest on the ears to keep it interesting. You have some awesome ideas though and some good sound design.

@Cyberluke - hmm for a first track, this is pretty dope. I can def hear the DnB influence as I too am a huge fan of Neurofunk styles. I think at parts it repeats a little too much especially toward the end needs some kind of variation to keep it interesting and gets kind of dull and the drums could use more variation.

@Loud Flavor - 1st tune - the bass noise got a little repetitive and tiresome after a while of that first drop. and in all honesty I do not like that response noise, something about its color just doesn't seem to agree to the bass riff. This track needs a lot more variation in my opinion to keep it interesting. The added samples were strange for the song and seemed like they were not placed thoughtfully enough to add impact. Otherwise pretty solid mix-down.

2nd tune - this tune was way better than the first - interesting noises great variations and the sounds all fit together a lot better in my opinion. that kick roll into the second drop sounded really weak like it lost volume or something. and it needs more to help those drops out so they have more impact.

3rd tune - By far the best of the lot. your on the right track with this one in my opinion. still not sold on that drop though the pauses in it do not help anything out. pretty solid mash of noises all of them fit together pretty well. The main melody riff is the best part.

Alright here is my track, hope ya enjoy as always all feedback is returned!

@LordBid Absolutely loving your track mate. Very nicely produced bass sounds (wish I could make sounds like that) and crisp mastering - sounds really professional. I like that the sample breaks up the song as well which then leads into another filthy drop. It's not repetitive either like many of the dubstep songs I've heard, you mix up the bass and add different sounds! There's really not much I could fault here..maybe slightly lacking in originality..but that's a very slight qualm. All in all great track!

@Steeze - Fuckin Sick overall sound of that track 'Oh Yeah' only critic would be maybe make the drums louder or 'Bus' some more attack onto them so they cut through more on the track.

@Jsaxton - Sweet - ass - track, my only problem with it is that its not in my downloads folder.

@F-R-E-D great track....dark ass motherf***er

This is what i got - any feedback is welcome.
Cheers in advance.

good job!

@leomonroe FACEHUGGER I like the pads a lot! Great tune everything seems well produced and in its place. Cheers mate dont have really anything to complain about :) nuff said! :)

@Lordbid its a pretty cool tune, maybe you could turn up the volume a little more and so, love the samples and the breaks, the only thing is that in some partes of the tune sounds really empty in the back of the track, try doing some hats or ride cymbals in a very low volume to fill up those spaces, you can use pretty much anything on it :) cheers

@wizkeyzero Good tune but ist really simple and has nothing catchy, you could work the shit out of the tune and doin some more bangin stuff, but basically is really good idea, just work on developing the overall sound of the tune! Cheers!

@Loud Flavor good bassline definetly diggin it! the hats on the intro are a little bright or a bit loud (i cant distinct which one) but good tune anyway :D

@Lightsharpers TUUUUUUUNE!!! Nuff said!!! maybe ill change the clap with some other heavy stuff! loving the vocals a lot! :D:D

@Tripwire Good stuff right there but the only thing is theres too much space between the 1st part of the song and the 2nd part, i lose the interest very quick on it, but good good!

@The main synth has a looot or reverb, thats the only thing i would say is a bit odd, but the track the drum rack everything is lush! good!!! :)

@Kikaruu the idea is pretty good but didnt feel the drums on it, needs some work into it, but the track is good mate, keep twaking stuff innit and get a proper sound!

Heres my thing, very son will be available for download with the original one of course for free so if youre diggin it stay in touch :) i upload this yesterday but ive made some changes in the clap, feedback and criticysm is always appreciated!

Bless to you all!

@kiev - gj man, clean. reminds me of video game music (thats a compliment :P!)

@leomonroe - on facehugger. the intro totally sucked me in. very epic. loved the swelling grimey bass sound

@lord bid - i couldnt pick anything out production/technical i can mention. but i wouldve liked to hear more of the lead sound that came in around 2 mins.

This is my "finished" song. i put it together with scenes from a movie called The Fountain. thought the two worked pretty well together. unfortunately sounds a lot worse after youtube upload. maybe it was a mixing issue but it drops out (almost entirely) this distortion/guitar sound i had and it was pretty prevalent :\ ... anyway

tell me what ya think. any tips on uploading vids to youtube and maximizing sound quality are welcome!!

@kievccs - well listening to this song twice now I personally had no problem with your snare, this new one does just fine though. Im gonna point out I love that kind of delayed out synth in the background really helps the vibe of this song! Gotta love that 4x4 house-esque dubstep! Its very interesting to see a dubstep tune arranged in a very house-like manor as opposed to other variations in the genre.

@Quasy - Well I wish I could give this a better listen as far as mix-down goes so I wont really say anything about it as you said its fucked up. My two cents on the mix-down are thus - Midrange noise seems too high pitched almost, and is a little bit too loud. There is some great emotion in the melodies in this song and are very well done, obviously you know your shit there. I think some of those points where the bass(midrange) overlaps are sounding a little sloppy and the drums overall seem a little lost in the mix. that said you should put this tune on soundcloud so I can have a better listen

I really like your abstract, ambient approach to creating these songs. Although I am in preference of really heavy, dubstep tracks, I can't help but admire great composition. Nice job Soosh, you have a very relaxed mood to your music and you're doing a great job!

Tune I finished today, and only started yesterday. I knwo the production is wayward but to hell with it, I wanted to share it. Thoughts please???

leomonroe - I really really like the feel of this one. the voice part works wonderfully as a lead into the drop. and then that bass sound is really nice. The only thing I'm not keen on is the higher pitched synth/melody; I think it could be reworked somehow; more in keeping with the style. Good effort though.

bugsky - Production sounds almost professional. Love the ambient sounds over the punchy drums. Seems like a real building track, and it's kinda trippy. I especially love how you broke it down in the middle. Really skilled stuff.

soosh - loving the vibes here. Really chilled. Maybe a few reverby swooshes and sweeps may add something, and maybe more of a melody, but I certainly like it.
