Hardcore dancing is really gay. Its just attention seeking, look at me, I'm insecure of my of my own strength so I'm going to dance to angry music hoping to hurt someone.

I hate it at shows when a pit forms, and you have one dickhead who runs around jumping into the crowd with his fists. Got a nice hit to the balls on one of these stnuc once.

Micheal Gira got moshing spot on.

Moshing is lame because the people aren't appreciating the music, they're acting how they percieve they should act at a show. Testosterone will be the end of masculinity.

never been to a hardcore show where there wasn't a spot to chill if you didn't want to be in a mix. do you just go to shows in peoples bedrooms or something?

Mosh pits on dubstep is pure waste.

Mosh pits on death metal are alright. Mosh pits on hardcore are fun.

Part of the culture, and actually not as painful as you would think they are.
Plus, the audience at hardcore & metal gigs know that there are going to be mosh pits, and they know they're going to be in front of the stage.
With dubstep it's always a fucking surprise when you're in your own zone and all of a sudden this fuckhead starts pushing you away or jumping against you.

Fuckheads like that deserve a beating in a real moshpit.

seems like it's becoming a part of the culture in dubstep, tho. okay let me clarify, not all dubstep, but the midrange brostep stuff that has metal-esque breakdowns. also doesn't help when those types of producers will mix in lil jon lyrics saying PUSH DAT N***A PUSH DAT HOE... yea

i look at it the same way tho... just move away and ignore it. if they follow you around (not likely), it's elbow + jaw time. or just flag security if they're available

yeh man house shows its either inside where its nice and loud but violent as hell, or outside where music is muffled and full of hipsters smoking cigs.

bc at most shows they dont want you lurking in their bedroom or somewhere where the show isnt going on

been to my fair share of house shows... honestly at those it's a smaller more chill crowd, not any hardcore dancing at all really.

There's nothing I love more than to show my appreciation for an artist by assaulting other audience members, it shows that I like them the most.

Why does everyone have the impression people just attack each other?

I don't like to mosh. I like to listen to Black Metal and cry. Much more enjoyable
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.
