UV (violet/blue) laser pointers and reactive t-shirts
hey so i know this might not be the best place to ask about this, but i figure SOMEONE on here might know what im talking about. sooo, at a show the other week i saw a guy with a plain black t-shirt on and he had a violet laser, which i also have, but when he put the laser on his shirt, the lines he made would stay glowing green/glow in the dark color for a few seconds before fading away.
i lost the guy in the crowd and didnt get a chance to ask him what kind of shirt it was or what you have to do to make it do that, so my question is, does anybody have any idea what you have to do to a shirt to make it do that, as far as maybe some kind of dye? or where you can buy one or what the fuck they are called?
thanks for any help in advance

you can buy UV inks to screen-print onto T-shirts, it looks wicked. Apologies in advance for the spam - here's 2 Black Box Ts with UV prints:

thank you. this is exactly what i was looking for. it seems like a badass idea, but for whatever reason, there are not many of these out there.
i have also found that nike made 2 special edition shirts that were 100% glow in the dark thru some kind of special treatment. theyre 60 bucks but would glow like crazy under black lights and with the laser.

Re: UV (violet/blue) laser pointers and reactive t-shirts
haha nah, fuck that. i know someone whos got one and they tend to fade pretty bad over a short period of time, plus i dont want something that just glows under a blacklight, thats easy to find, i want something that will glow only where the laser has been shown (i.e. a large area in which to be able to see it, like a shirt).
i found some guy on the internet who mixed in glow in the dark paint with regular house paint (except both were bright orange) and painted 1 wall in his "black light room" with this and then outlined the wall with uv spray paint and wrote "draw here". he bought like 50+ violet lasers and set em out all over the room and when you would shine the laser on that wall, the lines would stay glowing for a good 30+ seconds. its a pretty cool idea and im thinking about doing the same thing in my basement/studio

get yourself some decent acid, itll last 12 hours and you wont need the paint, the laser or the blacklight. Theres something about long term insainity in the small print but I wouldn't sweat it.

You'll get dementia when you're 80 anyway, thats if you live that long.In The Shadows wrote:get yourself some decent acid, itll last 12 hours and you wont need the paint, the laser or the blacklight. Theres something about long term insainity in the small print but I wouldn't sweat it.
