CRASH – Friday 13th April 2007- Jabez Clegg (Manchester)

The winter is over, the flowers are coming out, the sap is rising - what better way to celebrate the start the spring than the much-anticipated return of Crash to Manchester?

Injecting a hefty dose of adrenaline and positive vibrations into Manchester's club scene, expect 100% Grade-A live drum and bass, techno and reggae, partnered with the hottest local DJ talent around.

For your culinary delight the opening night serves up an all out war between the fastest drummer in Europe 'The Jungle Drummer' and one of the best drum and bass scratch DJ's of the moment 'DJ FU'.

LIVE DRUM AND BASS/ JUNGLE MASH UP //////////////////////////////

The Jungle Drummer Vs DJ Fu

This needs to be seen to be believed, an unbelievable act in which drummer and DJ battle it out on stage, refereed by London's very own Stapleton MC. The Jungle Drummer has played/toured with the likes of Coldcut, the Scratch Perverts, DJ Craze, The Mixologists and the Allies, to name but a few. This incredible show consists of 3/4 decks mixing and scratching, double drops and live remixes with Amen's from the Jungle Drummer!

Sine & Fibre - Live PA (Crash/Drum Music)

Causing quite a stir around the Northwest recently, the hardworking duo will be bringing their dynamic Drum Music vibes and renowned live set featuring a completely unique selection of drum and bass not available in the shops. Expect a reggae jungle mash-up of epic proportions!

Bugg (WTS/DRSS) / Evidence (Mobbstar)

Next on the bill are the local Manchester DJ's Bugg & Evidence; two of the Northwest's most enthusiastic and hardworking drum and bass selectors. Part of Witness The Sickness Records, The Daylite Robbery Sound System and Mobbstar Promotions they never miss a trick, especially when it comes to the turntables!

REGGAE/DUB/DANCEHALL ////////////////////////////////////

Two of Manchester's finest crews bring their heavyweight plastic to Crash for a proper low frequency rinse.

TECHNO/GLITCH/ELECTRONIC /////////////////////////////////

MarcAshken - Live PA (Leftroom)

Techno's finest haircut™ treats Manchester to his awesome live set. One of techno/minimal/whatever-he-turns-his-hands-to's most talented artists bar none, Ashken is set to be huge before the year is out, if not before this gig, when he'll be wishing he hadn't been talked into it. Catch him now before he ponces off to Miami with his new mates and stops answering our calls

"Roots dyed dark" WILL be in your record box soon. It's a bomb and a half on Leftroom, a label which few can match at the moment.

He's a thoroughly nice guy to boot.

DNCN - Live PA (future days/clevermusic/gastspiel/midnight, some others, he forgets)

Being a local living legend (how many other producers have custom shoes with their own name on?) DNCN is never afraid to make himself sound great in press, it's easier to do because by all accounts, he is. Sporting the second best haircut in techno ('closet EMO in mousey blonde') a string of releases last year were increasingly well received and this year he is set to blow up. If he can ever find it he'll post his headline set from Mary Anne Hobbs breezeblock show online so you can't argue. Spazzhouse and fuckloops sit between electrohouse and techno mindmelters in a now legendary live set.

Also a thoroughly nice guy to boot.

Andro (Naïve melody/tribal sessions) / Zillo (Micron)

Backing them up on the turntables will be naïve melody and tribal sessions resident Andro and Micron resident Zillo.

Andro has cemented his reputation with killer sets at both his residencies, recently backed up with his production work (Andro & Dimit) he is one of DNCN's personal favourite DJs. Expect the most bespoke techno/minimal/house/whatever he wants because he'll be given near enough a free reign cuts from the man.

Also he's a thoroughly nice guy to boot.

Zillo was first spotted by Andro and DNCN because he was far too on the pulse for your average barman, this year he has proved them right, with the highly successful micron collective packing out their nights and dropping choice cuts left right and centre. Tipped for bigger things,

Did I mention he's a thoroughly nice guy to boot?
