Not that I'd know anything about that of course
Dubstep on Google trends
The locations are meaningless really, they're probably just the locations of the ISPs.
Keysound Recordings, Rinse FM, http://www.blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com, sub, edge, bars, groove, swing...

Bristol's clearly leading the way for cities
our local forum, www.hijackbristol.co.uk is very very busy for a local forum, and it's run by some clever peeps who make sure it gets a pretty high Google ranking (used to always be 1st page result for "dubstep").
plus peeps like myself and a few others have been on the dubstep thing (and talking about it online obviously) for quite a long time. I'd imagine these factors have contributed to that result.

grime music vs dubstep.
interesting to note the two simultaneous bumps in the first half of the year.
i wonder what caused those.
one in late feb/ early march and one in april that led to a bigger peak for dubstep, which is not surpassed until august.
beep beep zzt.
i reckon that works.
Re: Dubstep on Google trends
Thought I'd resurrect this topic, to put into perspective the interest in, and popularity of dubstep as a whole right now.. still on an upwards trajectory as far as online searches go.

Poplar is a former district of London, now known as Tower Hamlets. So it most likely just means London City.test recordings wrote:All the news is bollocks and Poplar is the most searched place in the world?

Or it could just be a misspelling of 'popular' !kion wrote:Poplar is a former district of London, now known as Tower Hamlets. So it most likely just means London City.test recordings wrote:All the news is bollocks and Poplar is the most searched place in the world?

Re: Dubstep on Google trends
What alot of people here haven't taken into account are the 4 ways to write drum and bass:
1) Drum and Bass
2) Drum & Bass
3) Drum n Bass
4) DNB
Add all these together and the graphs will probably look pretty different?
