As 18-24 year old, I didn't vote. Now before y'all start jumping down my throat, here's why:
-I refuse to support either party since they both suck horribly at getting anything down and are too busy sucking the dicks of lobbyists.
-I haven't had the time to investigate third part candidates for my region.
-I live in Maryland. We always vote democrat anyway.

People who didn't vote need to STFU and get out of the conversation. Fuck off, you're equally the reason our country is fucked through the nads. Turnout sucks, and it's your fault. All the tea party people were smarter than you and got organized to get their people in office. Yeah, some democrats are turncoats, but you're naive to make an across the board generalization like that. Even if you don't want to vote traditional party lines, vote third party (I voted green for governor, dem for senate because we needed that seat and the guy was a legit liberal), it's political magic when you see their numbers rise.

bingo
if you didn't partake you have no right to bitch
voting takes next to no time and if you have access to the internet (hell you're on this forum) you have no excuse to not do some research on your own on the issues and candidates

Anyway, I'm not bitching about anything. My state went blue as usual, and everybody who voted for Obama was bound to not show up. Retarded american politics as usual.

because in order to change a system you have to work within it since there is no major revolution happening anytime soon
there's loads of things i disagree with especially in politics, but unless you're working on change from the inside and partaking you have no right to bitch about the results

that's in case you need that system, best is to fully give up on it and do the right thing with your life

realistically the masses are not going to boycott the current system especially with so much money and power at stake, hell the tea party movement is a great example of that
why so many government and social models work great in theory, but in practice fall short due to human nature

You live in a country of 46 million, we live in a country of 310 million.

Boycotts don't work in countries our size.

ps: come the presidential elections, the electorial colleges make a boycott pointless

I'm actually surprised the tea party got more than rand paul elected. I figured he would be able to piggyback daddies name but multiple elections is pretty shocking for such a new bunch.

Are there are politicians in the country who actually give a shit about how broken the electoral college is? you'd think the dems would have made a big deal of it after the 2000 election....

i like to see how passionate alien pimp is about all this stuff. passion pushes people forward and enables them to do incredible things for the world. that being said, besides arguing relentlessly on music forum about politics, what do you do to actively change the things in the world that you care so much about? it's easy to talk like Zapata, but hard to act like him, no?

My state used to be like that, straight blue. Mainland chicago comes in to save the day but this year... eh voter logic is retarded.

Yeah, because not voting is so much more productive. How smart and clever of you.
