if you just click on a mp3 link in safari, then it will load the file INTO safari using quicktime. when the file completes downloading, you can then right click on the mp3 in safari and "save as source". another faster way is to right click on the mp3 link and save to desktop.night deposit wrote:well, that would seem to be pc speak, im using a mac.
slowly. slowly. slowly, he is learning. you can 'save as' in safari, but i all i get is an mp3 looking icon, which actually doesnt contain any actual information.
surely its an easy, 'one click away' type thing, im just not in the know...
thanks for the reply dubway

Keysound Recordings, Rinse FM, http://www.blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com, sub, edge, bars, groove, swing...
another way to do it once the embedded quicktime thing is in your window, is to just go to file and pick save as. works like a charm for me...MRJIGGYFLY wrote:I'm on a mac as well... just right click 'download linked file'night deposit wrote:well, that would seem to be pc speak, im using a mac.

Doing a Right Click -> "save as" or "save target as", should let you download the file.

If you're ibook based, hold down "ctrl" and click on the link. A menu opens, choose "download linked file".night deposit wrote:well, that would seem to be pc speak, im using a mac.
