Probably worth adding my observations here. I saw them in Brighton on Tuesday, and then at heaven last night.

At Brighton, they didn't have the cage, so barely any lights, had sound problems at the start, and took a while to get into things. Once they got going it was really decent though, and the encore (was it certified banger?) was shit hot. Other problem I found was that the audience was almost entirely under 16, and a lot of girls, I didn't know where to look

At London we actually made it for Katy B, who I didn't find that appealing, although I like the idea of her having the band. And yes, she is buff ting. We got right down the front for Magnetic Man, who did bring the cage along this evening, and the show benefited massively for it. Enjoyed last night's performance a lot more, and good to see Ms. Dynamite showing up, although she did perform over the top of her own vocals. I think it was the same set list, and at the moment there aren't any stand out tunes that pop into my head. The audience was slightly older than Brighton, but 100% more cuntish down the front Couple of mosh pits, people who spent more time filming the group and then taking photos of their friends than actually watching what they were there for, and almost none of them knew how to dance!

overall I'm not sure the live show works quite as well as when i've seen skream or benga actually djing, pokes did a good job, but it would have been nice to have a couple of the older songs ie cybermen mixed in. i was disappointed after Brighton, but London made up for it


tl,dr: no light show in Brighton, but a paedo's heaven, the other Heaven had the lights and was a lot better, although plenty of stnuc

Must say I agree with most of what you said, although I will admit that I took quite a lot of pictures precisely because I can't dance

I was quite surprised by how many kids were in there too, especially when my missus mentioned that technically we were both old enough to be their parents. Kind of depressing

I've been to enough shows in London to know that the crowd is never normally as good as elsewhere in the country, but there was simply an epic amount of utter stnuc in there last night. Took the edge off the main event slightly, but otherwise the live show is a success... would have liked to have heard 'Cyberman' but nice to hear some other bits from Skream & Benga too.

There were a few posers in there, but I think you two must've been unlucky - I was by the side wall not far back from the front and the vibe was great, loads of strangers exchanging grins when big tracks dropped etc, everyone without exception dancing. Some musclebound lunk in front of me did keep knocking into me by dancing badly, but as soon as I gave him a shove he apologised profusely and moved into a position with moer space

Re moshpits, I would hate that in a club I think, but at a gig I can kind of understand it... I was a teenage metaller way back when, so I do appreciate the appeal, and a big surging dubstep drop does kind of invite you to throw yourself about a bit. The sound and view were spot on where I was without feeling the need to push foward and get aggrovated by the moshers...

Heaven was more full of kids I thought, I was surprised how many youngsters were there.

Highlights of the set for me were: Mini Moto Cross, CTO and that other Benga dub that has the same sounding synth from mini moto, but I don't have a clue on the title.

Pretty much what I expected.

Good review - pretty on the money.

I had a really good night. Been a while since I went to hear some live music and I really enjoyed it. MM put on a proper show - they've moved on massively from when I last saw them at Medicine Bar in Brum a few years back. Katy B was also really good, and Ms Dynamite smacked it. I did feel quite old, but I didn't resent the 'kids' just felt envious! Nothing wrong with enjoying yourself!

Saw them at waterfront Norwich, small venue so they used a modified light rig (still v good) on from 9.00pm to 11.00pm lots of youngsters in there

Mosh pit and too much jumping up and down for my liking its dubstep for gods sake not a rock gig

Sound was excellent, Katy B and mc also excellent

All in all good to see them - the chance to see them in a venue this small will probably never happen again

Well considering what you said wasn't what I said, seems like your asking yourself. If you put it like that, what's worse? Lil' kids jumping into you, or posers just keeping their own space?

There were a lot of little ones there that night, which suprised me, what was the actual age limit?

The cage/light show was top notch I must say, was a well produced show. Was a bit short though.

There seems to be very few mentions of Magnetic Man in the US music-press, so i doubt any hype (at this point in time) is purposely being created.

I'd definitely like to see this show, despite my opinions of the album!
